I like Ennis but it's his injury history...I think he'll be joining Gerbe in Europe soon unfortunately although I'd like to see him succeed here.

The Bills are a shoddy organization, period. This has been proven time and again. Always have been, always will be. They have a crumbling stadium that was built on top of an Indian burial ground. The poor constituency cannot afford to fund a multi billion dollar fiasco for the total of 8 games a year for a failing game. I think Buffalo should bail on the Bills.

Amazing what the Columbus Blue Jackets are doing so far (22-5). Kudos to Torts, who the Sabres groomed to be coach but was never good enough for them.

I think the hockey has been so bad for so long, people are discouraged and losing interest. It's no fault of the board, it's just that losing gets old. There's a certain hopelessness of being historically bad, then having the two overall #1s taken from you, then going out and being exposed night after night. It's like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football but there are always different mistakes and inadequecies popping all the time...There's no one to fix it either. They have an owner who thinks the tank is one of the best things the Sabres have ever done...

As far as I know, they took 6 shots and scored on every single one. He should be cut.

We've seen really bad shooting and passing these last few years and have unfortunately come to expect it. I think one-timer passes can be practiced and is a learned skill like any other skill although you have to have the talent. But it has to be close to exact to work. You have to feed your teammate exactly in the wheelhouse. I'm thinking one-timers from the top of each faceoff circle with Eichel and Ristolainen as a consistent powerplay go-to play. They both have the shot. If the rest of them can work out the passes, they have tons of potential.

You can see Eichel as a guy who normally doesn't score from the dirty areas or you can see him as one of the few forwards in the league who can consistently score with a lethal outside shot. If the Sabres ever learn to pass onetimers as a team, Eichel-Risto on the power play point can be lethal. I compare Eichel's shot with Stamkos and would like him to establish where his special spot is on the ice ( like Stamkos from the bottom of the left faceoff circle,) where he can release that vicious one-timer over and over again consistently from an angle that suits him.

This is my message to Pegula:

We are a Pegula-owned pro sports franchise. What do you expect? He is the stupidest owner in all of sports.

When you play with the big boys, you're going to take a hard fall unless you build a machine. This is done through great ownership and management. IMO Buffalo's time has come and gone to be a champion and there's little to no hope for both of these Pegula-run organizations.

Maybe it's a new breed of shooter who can shoot faster, more accurate and deke faster than before.
