You and I both. That pride in the team I have had a love hate relationship with is back.

This team. Omg. The Winnipeg color guy said multiple times that the Sabres just weren’t very good defensively even as they controlled play in the Jets zone for large parts of the game. Pretty much dominated with the Jets shot count hovering around 11 for most of the 2nd and into the 3rd. That was a statement game imo and this team just put the league on notice. I was entertained. TY Sabres.

Another great win. The refs did their level best to gift that game to the Blues. Some really shoddy one sided calls and non calls tonight. The boys pulled that one out.TYSabres.

The boys were a bit keystone cop in that first. Overcame that and played a terrific game the rest of the way. Nice to see Power get one there. I think I’ve got more enjoyment out of this team this first half of the season than I have for the last decade. TYSabres.

Shenns expecting to get moved to a cup contender. He was recently qouted as saying something to the effect that everyone knows cups are won with vet lineups and he’d be willing to fill that need.

They have become us and its so appropriate considering how the Vancouver media cut us up almost daily when we were at our worst. The skate is on the other foot.

Yeah what Dudacek said basically. I seem to remember the owner hired the coach then hired Rutherford who hired the GM which if true is pretty disfunctional.

I grew up in a small logging/mill town on Vancouver Island pop.1500 where the majority of people liked the habs, leafs or canucks. My younger brother was an Islanders fan. At the age of 10 I discovered the French connection and the Buffalo Sabres. The year was 1975. The rest is history.

Methinks Rob isn’t very bright. He’s had his problems and hopefully he has figured some of that out but this is way over the top. Perhaps he was trying to set up for life after hockey ?

They had the mantra that they wanted to be hard to play against at home. I don’t think they are. Except maybe with their speed. When they use it. Teams certainly don’t fear this team. Also the PP is in a big funk. With our firepower you’d think we could correct that. But we always seem to struggle when we’re pressured.

Never thought I’d see the day fans of essentially a no hitting team would lament the fact one of our guys layed out a big clean bodycheck. First minute, last minute who cares. Get your licks in because the other side won’t hesitate. Dahlins message every time he hits someone is I deserve space and respect and I will do what it takes to get that.

One thing I will say about Marek is every time I listen to him he certainly champions the Sabres as an exciting team on the rise. Literally brings them up all the time. Its refreshing.
