That was a nice touch. The girl was in the barn. In the previews for next week it looks like the survivors turn on each other. It should be good.

Where there's smoke there's fire.

I haven't had time to read everything so I apologize in advance if this has been covered. Has anyone heard the interview via phone by Bob costas with Sandusky. MINDBLOWN. costas doesn't pull any punches and Sandusky is pretty forthcoming. With his lawyer present. The man is a self admitted pedophile although he doesn't come right out and say it in those terms. Much like Michael Jackson liked to have sleepovers with young boys, Sandusky also enjoyed the company of young boys. In showers, having what he termed horseplay, saying his privates may have inadvertently brushed up against some boys. Sick sick man. It seemed to me that he really didn't see a problem with it but that could be my interpretation of his words. Google it.

If we had Panger in there he would have chewed off his ankle. You tell em Panger.

This decision will come back to haunt Shamahan at some point this season. Someone will get 5-10 games for the exact same type of situation. I wouldn't even include the brushback by cole on Enroth in the same category and despite the sabres recent history I believe they did the right thing tonight in not responding to Cole. That being said I think the Canadians had that in their gamebag for overtime thinking that the Sabres would respond and the sabres called their bluff. Its just too bad we couldn't capitalize.

My guess is they're family.... Or the farmers daughters former lovers.

Agreed. That dude with the bow (is it Darrel ?) is a real warrior.

Funny how Shannahan has remained silent on this one. Is that because there was no major handed out. I thought he had suspended someone earlier in the year over riding that rule? It was a head shot resulting in a concussion.

Problem is you have spectacled fat balding guys ( sorry if any of you guys fit this description ) sitting behind their desks in Boston saying the Sabres tucked their tails between their legs and went wee wee wee back home. Which isn't far from the truth but they actually went to Montreal. The writers are having a field day with this and they aren't necessarily guys tpegs could silence. I'm hoping this is a catalyst for tpegs to demand an injection of heart and soul to the sabres ranks. Make it so #1.
-
This was my thought exactly. This team needs a little injection of toughness and balls. T-pegs spent all kinds of money but this team is still created in Darcys image. Lets face it,we're too soft to compete against teams like the bruins when they ramp it up into playoff mode.

Someone has said that it is almost like a cult and this pretty well sums up what they were getting at I guess.

Some things in life are bigger than and more important than your own well being. I would absolutely be willing to lose my job to 'whistleblow' a situation as depraved and morally corrupt as this. At some point one has to quit asking how does this affect me and ask how can I save even one child from experiencing something as sick and twisted as this.

LMFAO- Sexy and I know it.

Fry the bastard. Better yet throw him in general pop. Better yet hand him a gun in a dark room. No too easy. General pop.

Loved the farmers daughter bit. Afterall these are supposed to be real men and unless they've lost their testosterone due to the zombie apocalypse they should be practically cutting each others throats in a lawless world to get at her. The series has been imo a little disappointing after last seasons. Its kind of like the expectations I had for the Sabres coming into the season.

I thought the show was good. With the missing girl and the fallen boy and the different faction ready to split off from the group I think episode two is set up to be pretty cool. My thoughts on this are the girl will be found with the group of 'humans' that shot the buck/boy. Maybe the a$$ that had to cut off his hand in the first season leads the second group of 'humans' that may or may not materialize in episode two? And obviously I've never read these books either. I like the suspense.

Just finished a great season of breaking bad and fall right into a new season of walking dead. I love my AMC.

Thats not the case at all from what I can see. Of the 11 or 12 video reports on Tsn.ca only 2 deal with the Canadian coach. They have a wide variety of clips and interviews dealing with all aspects of this tragedy. What they have done is focus mostly on former N.H.L. players. I don't see a problem with the coverage.
-
There is said to be one survivor but unconfirmed. Tragic event and as Wjag said I've also wondered when it would happen to one of these sports teams. Just based on frequency of flights spread across the 3 or 4 major leagues spread throughout the history of the leagues. It would be terrible for a city to lose its team. R.I.P.

Been riding dirt bikes and street bikes since I can remember. You learn alot about yourself after you've had a few accidents. Riding trails as a kid was a valuable experience you can't gain if you start later in life on streetbikes. The falling down and getting back up and getting on the bike again numerous times a day as a kid teaches you awareness that is hard to learn on the street as an adult. You wipeout on the street and you may not live beyond one accident. Its not necessarily you but every other idiot on the road who doesn't care that you're there or just doesn't notice you. I haven't rode bikes in about 10 years after a lifetime of riding. Its always in you though. Wish I could go for a ride now. I have friends who died riding and I have a friend who's paralyzed from an accident. He fell of the back of a bike my other friend was driving when they wiped out. So if you're one of those who thinks that 'it' won't happen to me. think again. It just might. Good luck and be safe.

One of the best 'winter' beers I've had is Granville Island winterale. Highly recommend it. Favorite beer is Guinness. Its a meal in a glass.

When I smoked ( about 11 years ago ) I used to really enjoy Al Capones which were more of a cigar-ette. Or small cigar. They were similar to what Eastwood smoked in his dusters and you could actually inhale which I would never do with the Cubans. Funny story for all you Americans. When one of the big U.S. Navy ships would often stop in Victoria,B.C. for a weekend and all the sailors would enjoy a few days taking in the sights and what not the few specialty cigar shops in town would sell out all of their stock of cubans and do really brisk business. I suppose because of the embargo the U.S. has against anything Cuban and the fact that the ships don't go through customs. I think the sailors probably loaded up with gifts for friends and family as well. I'm sure those store owners look forward to the ships arrival with visions of greenbacks dancing in their heads.

Woke up and had the misfortune of watching that Tums commercial where the guy and his girl are at an amusement park and he's trying to eat a corn dog thats sort of slapping him in the face kind of like its alive( and ahem, kind of phallic ) and he ends up with this stuff all over his face. Whats with that? It was disturbing on so many levels. Thats my complaint for today. Tasteless.
