It should have been a team response. This fiasco should rest squarely at the feet of Regier. The team is made in his image ( or was,he's trying to rectify that now ) . The make up of the team, all finess, no brawn, pipsqueeks, yada yada yada is on Darcy.

No balls ?

I agree. This was foligno's 'coming out' so to speak. He schooled Commysuckit and showed us a glimpse of what we may see in his future. One can hope.
-
Wellwood signed in the Peg.
-
Well Foligno is technically still a rookie so I see 2 making the roster.
-
Thats what meth will get ya. Wow. Has she ever gone downhill.
-
This scenario sounds reasonable to me. The trade market seems to be the only way to improve the roster without overpaying.

Walking dead and breaking bad. AMC is the bomb. Two of my favourite shows.

Unfortunately the guys in the dressing room used to call him Kramer for a reason and it wasn't because of the black dress socks. He's looney. Only difference now is he's older and hasn't played much in a few years. Guy was great when he was in his prime but I think he needs more cash for his retirement. I'd hate to see him come back and sukc and tarnish what should be memories of a great career. He doesn't want to be remembered as the guy that can't play the position but should want to be remembered as the guy that changed the position and was one of the best. Thats how I see it.

MODS ! This post obviously belongs in the trannys, hookers and blow thread. :P

Nunzio (1978 ) - A classic underdog story. Not quite a classic.

R.I.P. Ernest Borgnine. Many a classic film in his career. This guy approached George Burns numbers in years. I believe he was 95. I thought maybe it was the cigars these old boys smoked but in a recent interview Borgnine joked that ###### was his secret to longevity. Go figure. Thats mast r bation

I'm concerned as well but I think the moves are at least in the right direction as far as getting some balls on this team and getting bigger. Regier has to have more on the go than we know and hopefully he surprises us all before the season starts. If not this could be another long season.

Sorry Eleven. My bad, I misread your post. True its national sporting efforts are underfunded but then again with the conservatives and Harper in government all sports are underfunded. They just cut 22 million to services for aboriginal youth and spent 28 million on celebrations, festivities and 'education' for the war of 1812. A different topic but with decisions like that you can understand why sports are underfunded. Many olympic competitors have to raise their own money and work a nine to five job just to be able to compete. They want the glory and national pride that comes with sporting victories on the world stage but don't want to make an investment towards that goal. I certainly won't be making any excuses for these a$$ clowns. -

Its not my game but to say there's no interest in soccer in Canada isn't true. The sport is growing. Hosting and competing will make the sport grow all the more. -
Quick had what, 10 shutouts last season ? He is the reason they made the playoffs. That being said a shutout is often a team stat. The best way to describe the Kings during their playoff run is to call them a machine. Thats what I witnessed. They were firing on all cylinders not just one.

What Mason Raymond deal ? And please god no. I've seen too much of Raymond to want him on this team.
-
Ya he said as much today in an interview at the world series of poker in Vegas. Said its time to move on but also said you never know he might play in Van this season or part of this season. Would prefer a hockey market but likes the idea of being anonymous in a non market city and Florida remains his choice spot.

Steve Nash signs with L.A.

Where's Staff and what did we get in return ?

You're right,stupid move.

After you acquire someone in a trade you then proceed to pay his contract till it expires. Hence my statement that Darcy thinks nothing of paying Boyes 4 million a year. I guess thats the point I was trying to make. He obviously knew how much Boyes was being paid when he made the trade no?

Noted. :P

These were my thoughts as well. There's an arms race particularly in the East this year but league wide in general where teams are getting bigger and tougher. Montreals doing it, Burke has talked about it, Buffalo has talked about getting bigger and tougher and have taken steps in that direction. If you don't keep up you get plowed under and Darcy is trying to keep our heads above water with enlarging the roster and adding guys that can stand up to intimidation and send some back. I applaud the direction he's taken and its about time. The Lucic incident was an embarrassment but its not the only reason for the change in philosophy. The rest of the league is doing it also.
