A lot to like despite the loss. Loved Dahlins hit on Tatar. Power plays like a seasoned vet with so much patience under pressure. Anderson made some incredible saves and baled them out numerous times. I like Josts jam but pretty sure this guy will never be much of a goal scorer. The lack of offence in the first pretty much sunk them but they looked good in the second and third. On Jerseys side Ruff has these guys playing an exciting brand of hockey. My first game seeing the Devils and I’m impressed.

It is a good place to gain confidence. Which is king for a developing player. Not sure analytics covers that.

Ten shots in 17 games. The kid is invisible and regularly gets muscled off the puck. But he has great vision ? I’ve got great vision but it doesn’t get me a seat at the table because I’m bad at every other skillset, much like him. He needs a full season in the AHL. Maybe a look see near seasons end. Confidence goes a long way.

You called it LGR its Nice to see him get rewarded for his play.

Great game. Looked like the boys toyed with the blues for the most part. UPL played a great game. Quinn finally broke through. The Cozens line is a thing of beauty. Krebb ? Well, he looked like a boy among men at times. I’m hoping he gets it soon. Nice win goat heads. !

That was fun.! Great effort early and that streak is rear view mirror.

Just another guy

Too many rookies. KAs plan is flawed. None of these players or very few know how to win in this league and I’d throw the coach in that category too. 4 rookies and how many 2nd year. Its a flawed approach.

We essentially have four rookies on this team. It is pretty much unheard of to be bringing four rookies into the league in the same year. This is KAs flawed approach. Its not working. One maybe two rookies is the standard. We need veteran help. Maybe not grizzled veteran help but experience is what we’re lacking. Guys that know how to win. Heck I’m not sure if any of our guys know how to win with all the losing they’ve been a part of.

First thing another coach does is focus on defensive responsibility. I’m not sure but it looks like meatballs ignores that to focus on offence.

At the start of the season I said I would roll with the losses and enjoy the wins knowing this is likely another year of development but DAMN its hard not being pissed about a streak like this. S’pose its because of the way the team is currently constructed. Not having guys that will block the kids etc. The imbalance of youth and guys that could help. The lack of depth on D. The lack of capable tenders. The lack of grit. As we can see talent means squat if every other metric is lacking. Soooo I’ll try to give the losing a pass and wait for a win. What else can ya do?

Scary thing is these guys are likely doing everything coach tells them to do.

Someone needs to absolutely level Mathews. Guy gets a free pass.

Crazy hair on fire got me thinkin. eddy shack ! Now if he’s incarnated in another human form thats fine too but we need that kind of energy. With skill and a few other necessary attributes. Make it so #1.

Lets start with one win. Lay it all on the line for one lousy win. Have a player only meeting and agree that we’ll do whatever it takes scratch and claw our way to one friggin win. One game one win at a time. Play for each other. Not the owner, not the fans but for the guys in that room. A brotherhood. Thats how they need to go into the next game. At the beginning of the year these guys believed they could beat anyone. Hell the talking heads believed they could beat anyone. Just do it .

I’ve looked forward to every game this year with excitement. Win or lose. After that sixth loss in a row I’ve lost that. I get the feeling its a bit of a country club atmosphere under Meatballs. Its time winning takes precedence over development. Develop the players on an individual basis but the team as a whole should despise losing. That has to be ingrained and imo early. Call people out occasionally. And for gawds sake play some responsible defence. I swear teams look forward to padding their stats against us. So many odd man rushes. Anyhoo rah rah go Sabres!

Really struggling to pull anything good from this loss. It sure would be nice to win a draw. Many peeps here like to say it doesn’t matter but I’d rather start with possession than have to get it back. Anyone see any development tonight?
