Yup. They've pretty much packed it in. As a fan I'm almost there. They'll stink out the joint tonight. Too much at stake for the Leafs to blow this one at home.
Yeah we need talent. We also need self driven players with heart. It was obvious most games this year that either the coaching staff didn't have these players ready to play or the players themselves just didn't hear or care too much for what the coaches were saying. Motivation seemed to be lacking on most nights. Not sure if thats on the staff or players or both. But you're right. We also lack talent.
This precious core is still young but with that being said I can't say there's anyone on this team I don't want traded provided the return is good. They've all pretty well played their way off my team. With the exception of Jack and at times it seems he could care less as well. This team needs an injection of heart.
Tomorrows game might as well be titled ' A tale of two cities '. Two team going in vastly different directions with Toronto's young guns set to experience their second post season going in on a roll. The Sabres not so much with things unlikely to change any time soon. I have to hand it to the leafs braintrust. They seem to have made all the right moves. If only we were so lucky.
Do the Sabres scouts know how to recognize ' Heart ' and does management actually hold that characteristic in high esteem. Should we find more of it going forward ?
Trudeau is telling his employees they can no longer say Mr, Mrs, Miss or Ms. Too gender specific. Might offend someone. Also no more mankind. Thats apparently offensive to females. We've got to go with humankind now. What an Idiot.
Not seeing much urgency from the players. Phil is his usual unanimated self behind the bench. Correlation ? Anyways it might be 5 or 6 nothing before this is over and I'm not sure I got it in me to continue.
My take is that there was likely hours upon hours of video and scouting reports and info from colleagues available that JBot could have and in all likelihood did go to for the word on this guy. It was out there. Hell we knew it from what amateurs were saying on the Habs board. And for some reason he disregarded the professional info he was given and signed this guy. You've got to swing for the fences sometimes but do it based on sound advise. Methinks at that point he must have been desperate to make a move.
Yes thats a good take. Pretty much how it played out. Only thing I'll add is we as fans have had no input so can't blame us whether we agreed with starting over or not.
