Because it can be simultaneously true that the team is not very good defensively AND UPL is a dumpster fire. I don’t think it’s fair to say that nobody cares about the bad defense. Goaltending, specifically UPL, is the more damaging problem.

UPL gives me THE FEAR whenever he’s out there (as does Comrie now that I think about it). Anderson needs to be out there as much as possible, and we’re gonna have to white-knuckle the other games and hope we score 9 barring a trade.

Credit where it’s due, UPL did a thing there.

Fortunately, after the trade deadline, nobody needs to go down.
