    Oh, not all of us denied it. Larkin is an interesting comparison, and I will give it some thought, but "Johnny Hockey" was roughly 30 by the time he left school. You don't think the totality of the circumstances, more games, more practice and workouts, more travel, more pressure, etc. was included in what I was talking about?

    This is my point, the OHL much better prepares you for the pros than does the NCAA.

    They're three points behind Dallas for first in the Central. They're down to one goalie for pretty much the rest of the season, and he's been off IR for three seconds. Belt and suspenders, boys.

    Actually able to watch this one live (Second in a row, yay west coast trip. The Sharkies can't win at home and can't beat the Sabres. You know, except for that last game.... Still, big win on the cards tonight.

    You realize "pyramid scheme" could be used, quite accurately, to define any sort of insurance, which is exactly what Social Security was designed to be.

    I'd be willing to bet he's pretty much spent. the NCAA schedule doesn't make it easy to transition to the grind of the NHL. He's played way more hockey than he's ever been asked to before, at a much higher level. He'll get used to it.

    Selfishly I'm pleased because now I can watch it. As to why NBC would drop the game, well, they picked up Washington / Pittsburgh. Because of course they did.
