I'm sure that either 1: they don't think it's worth it to them money-wise or 2: they're betting that by the time we're done having the net neutrality argument things will be even bleaker for us cord-cutters.
-
Because then you wouldn't have to pay for all the crap you don't want. Lost revenue (in the short view) for them.

See also: McGuire, Pierre.

Unless I'm mistaken, that was still Comcast. I'd bite your hand off for the opportunity to either buy channels a la carte or buy full online access. Since sports is pretty much keeping cable alive at this point, not likely. Heck, even HBO and soon, ESPN are going over the top and selling direct. That having been said, the golden egg will not be scrambled u till absolutely necessary.

The nature of the NBC deal, giving them a monopoly, pretty much guarantees that streaming will not be more accessible for the duration. I hold scant hope the next one will be better. It would be best for the consumer (and probably the league) to see if they can get more partners (ESPN, Fox, somebody) in. Again, don't hold your breath.

Kidney stones. I'm fairly sure this has been discussed previously here. My turn now. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

How do you feel about Sabres charging for NHL Draft?

If you're all willing to apologize now I'll forgive you for overlooking Debbie Harry. Lady's freakin' 70 and still has it. Hilariously enough, Blondie is playing Roanoke tomorrow night and work prevents me from going. Figures. -

I'm telling you, the secondary market is going to be BANANAS. -
Someone must have told Phil hotdogs would be served if they win tonight...

I'd be willing to bet their stuff is proprietary and buying it came long with the hires by the Wild.

Meh. A transparent cash grab aimed directly at Southern Ontario. I can't wait to see what the secondary market looks like... -
Welp, at least overtime went mercifully quick.
-
I was sure of this when Obama got elected. Quite happy to be wrong, but still. Would not be at all surprised.

I made the very bad mistake of venturing onto Twitter to get all he #hottakes on the disallowed goal. Am I on drugs and I don't know it, or are many people paid to say/write words about hockey embarassingly I observant. There is a ZERO percent chance panels ki was pushed into the goalie. A brief look at what happened and a basic understanding of physics (I mean, how to walk without falling down) will tell you this. Good on the NHL for allowing itself to be covered by one company, who then employs Jeremy Roenick, in this country...

Anyone advocating changing playoff OT needs to be instantly and irrevocably excommunicated from the church of hockey.

Taking a flyer on a guy because why not is one thing. Reading the write ups on these guys here I get the impression that many are expecting instant top six. Maybe two years ago.... But no.
-
But see: Conacher, Corey...
-
From bitter personal experience, I'll toss the NHL this bone; at least they had the balls to waive off a clearly illegal goal in overtime this time...
-
Which I guess is my concern, how sure are we of the capability of these guys? I mean, I've read the volumes posted here. Still, not convinced. Note: I do not work in scouting or an NHL front office.
-
Oh dear. That is charging, let alone goalie interference by SJ there. This goal better not count...

Am I the only one who is completely unable to care all that much about the college free agents? Salary and contract caps being what they are, might we not look for a more reasonably defined return for the dollar via free agency or trade?

Brent Burns... Even when he shoots wide it goes in the net right now...
