I'm unaware of a licensing fiasco, but if it has nothing to do with paying players then I'm not interested. Especially in football where academics are actively discouraged and the "free college" rejoinder carries fractionally less weight than the zero it has otherwise, it's a slimy scam. Paid for by the health of 18-22 year olds who don't know better.

Not to harsh anyone's mellow, but I must ask. I have a severe problem with college sports. Universities and Collegrs are meant to be institutions of learning ((and not vo-tech schools, though that's another rant). As a for instance, and as a St. Bonaventure, I can testify firsthand and at length about the damage that can be done to a school when it's run as a cover for a pro basketball team (albeit not a very good one). I moved to Cleveland and was stunned by the fervent support of those who probably didn't graduate high school, let alone college. Same thing here in Virginia, where the VA Tech and UVA rivalry storms among those who aren't allowed on grounds without buying a ticket. I suspect I might be more sensitive to this than most. At a huge school nobody cares. At a tiny school down the ladder it rarely takes place. But I watched it tear apart my school shortly after I graduated, and I dunno that there's any going back.

As a bitter Gen Xer still waiting on the boomers to go, allow me to retort. I've just been given the task or remedial training on an elder colleague. I can train him until ragarok, he's exhibiting symptoms of dementia. I will be forced to ride him out of his job, because management can't be bothered and I document impeccably. Dude should not be working. Is. No reason other than he can and you young kids. To be honest, every generation fears the one following it. Why do you think the scariest things in any horror movie are children? Because we know we will die and they will replace us. But seriously, no generation in the entirety of human history has walked as far backwards as my parents and their peers. They need to go.

As to the fire stick, unless you subscribe (pay for) to something allowing you to stream MSG in market, you're boned. Disney, effective now, owns the streaming rights to the NHL. NHL.tv is now a Disney property. I've read in a few places they're going to include this, along with MLB and MLS (for which they also own the streaming rights now) in their ESPN package. There has been speculation that you could still buy all three individually, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Intriguing. Also, in a couple more years it'll be about four times as expensive to stream a reasonable amount of content than cable is now. I already have 7, I think, different services going. About tapped out, if I'm honest.
