Just got done watching the game on delay. Didn’t know the outcome going in. Haven’t read any of this thread. My thoughts are as follows: 1. Tennyson doesn’t belong on this team, much less on the power play. (Also, Griffith probably needs to go) 2. Duck the NHL and every single one of its referees. Jack’s goal should count. 3. Redmond is bettter than he showed in Cbus. 4. Pommers and Scandella are worth twice what JBot paid for them. 5. This team is better than its record. Playoffs are perhaps undoable after this start, but I have genuine optimism.

So the World Series has been fun. Watched game 2 from the 7th on instead of the third period of the Columbus game. Kinda rooting for Houston. Until Gurriel did the "pull my eyes into a slant while shouting racial slurs at the Asian pitcher" routine. Now, those guys. Go Dodgers.

It's probably not as contingent on that as one might think. Jack took his deal, left money on the table. Give it a few years as XGMTM's follies come off the cap... imaging the player(s) who could be signed with the extra money...

Given the talent on this team, and the fact that Wowie seems to have instructed the boys to play hockey for the entire game (as opposed to Disco and his "we scored a goal two periods ago, that's enough trying" method) I'd say the numbers will trend upwards.
