Let's talk about Vesey. Thusfar, his career stats are almost exactly Scott Wilson's. Again, XGMTM gave up way too much, not for a JAG, but the chance to sign a JAG. The continued focus on college players astounds me. Absent the exceptions to the rule (Eichel, out Lord and Savior Casey M.) college guys seem to have a uniformly low ceiling. Absent outside factors, were the only decision what is best for a kid to play pro hockey, the kid always plays junior. You can pepper the bottom six/two with them, but let's be honest, the best and brightest, at least in hockey, for the most part, don't go to college.

Frankly, if they keep playing like this, not only will I start doom and gloom GDT's, but I will say rude things about every Sabres player's mom. Playoffs!!!

No, he could sign today if he wanted to, the Sabres pay the SHL the transfer fee ($240k, I think) and he comes over. Dunno why he'd do that though. Makes more sense to get it lined up and sign once his season is over, if he wants to sign.

Yeah, this is actually the Sabres' best case scenario, trade return plus the player back next year. This is, of course, if they have any interest in bringing him back, which I doubt if reports they haven't even started talking to him about a contract are true.
