  1. I'm confused too. This isn't difficult if you don't change the discussion. Are you saying every trade is even if both teams got better? How would you measure if both teams got equally better. Wouldn't it be scarce to say both teams got equally better? The math has to be on the side that one team got better than the other. Or as I'd call it, won the trade. That's what I think is so difficult for some posters to even suggest.
  2. And if you got better, you won the trade. There's just too many posters that refuse to say anything positive, even when they're trying to attempt to. It's like a phobia.
  3. Then why can't you say we won the trade in your description? Why does it have to be, it was good for both teams?
  4. So Kesselring was the throw in?
  5. Yeah but as you constantly say, the Sabres rush players and stump their development. Now you want to use that against Doan who was brought along slower and that's what's funny.
  6. This is really nice to see from Ellis. That's a legit NHL save with above average movement.
  7. I'm guessing this is highly unlikely, as I'm sure they'd rather the player plays. Is there a benefit to LTIR for out of pocket money to the club? I'm pretty sure there is and that they're glad they don't have to pay a player out of pocket.
  8. Thank you gents. I see where I got it wrong, I had the incorrect year selected (25/26) for Skinner. I added up the contracts for the forwards individually and came up with just short of 40 mil with Tuch's, but I must have gone wrong somewhere.
  9. Benson is absolutely a pleasure to watch play, especially because he's our guy. Less of a connection because he's so new to us, but I think you'll agree, Doan has been equally fun to watch.
  10. This is a great post but I think there's a couple issues with the numbers. I came up with similar totals on the forwards spend, but it includes Tuch's current contract. So you can't take the entire 10 mil from the numbers. It would be the difference between 4.75 and 10 mil. I show Skinner's hit to be 4.44 next season, not 6.44. So in just those two, there's an additional 6.75 mil. IMO, there is a path to sign all 4.
  11. I like the fight but we still do multiple stupid things that don't give ourselves a better chance. We can play with teams like this and are capable of beating them. Just have to limit the blunders.
  12. The league doesn't want fighting, yet they allow their refs to fail to do their part. They are the aggressor and a known one, yet the refs punish the wrong team incompetently.
  13. The refs aren't used to Sabres standing up for themselves and are disoriented.
  14. This is proof positive, effort, going to the net and playing for each other is more important than anything else.
  15. He was two votes away from being considered for the Nobel Peace Prize but he did get the Noble Piece Bridge Award.
  16. For those that don't know, the drummer in the first moments of this video, is the late great Ted Reinhardt. It was an honor to have watched him play. Buffalo music hall of fame inductee and he could play with anyone on this planet. His work with George Paleo in the band Gamalon is some of the best WNY music ever produced. You tube it, you won't be disappointed. Ted's brother Willie is a legendary Buffalo guitarist as well.
  17. That's a separate conversation and I agree it was a bad contract, hence I said you couldn't get more in a trade. We're a desperate franchise that has to take risks like that sometimes. That one was a bad one and it's compounding with Norris hurt.
  18. I know right. Everyone knows he could have gotten way more for Cozens with his massive contract.
  19. Haha, now Cozens is loved and should still be here?
  20. Hate to break it to you. Two of the top 6 are injured.
