We don't have many "tough guys" and we don't retaliate the way my emotions want us to. However this team doesn't stop playing hard because of physical play. I think that's a really good sign.
I don't think this is something to realistically worry about. I don't believe for one second the message is winning doesn't matter. And/or just try to get better and get a year in.
Just like many Sabres, he's young and can get better. Projecting what he'll be next year is fine but I think it's important not to project beyond that in terms of limiting what any of them could turn into.
