  1. Considering how many players have left our organization and gone on to be great, play well, find a role and stay in the NHL - there's no question IMO, we get players. I think we have them now and never see their best. I blame the GM's a little but mostly coaching. We kept messing around with it. Ruff will at the very least expose, good or bad, what we are/have/need. If history has repeated itself, the players are here to be at the bottom of the top 8 (playoffs).
  2. 49 and I'm my wife's miracle.
  3. He's certainly better than RJ and Joker. IMO, he's different than Clifton and Samuelsson - so it's not a better argument for me.. Clifton has skills that Ruff will use. Samuelsson has to be available or he's not better than anyone that's playing.
  4. When I think of Ruff as the Sabres coach I remember him being able to adapt. When we had less skill, he built a plan for that. When we had more skill, he built a plan for that also. He seemed to find a way to be competitive, even when the personnel was fastly different.
  5. I think you're criticism of the organization is of course warranted. However, Ollie is now a player we're going to defend in an effort to further criticize them? Now that's the weak take.
  6. Should have been in sarcasm font.
  7. It's spelled Charcuterie. Folks, 13 is more than 11.
  8. Predictable. I don't think he wants to be anywhere near what the Sabres players are about to experience. Not that they'll hate Lindy and he's about to grind them to a stump. Ollie just doesn't seem like the type of player to embrace the suck. My guess is he won't be in the NHL much longer.
  9. I'm not sure we know that yet but we're about to. There might be more in the belly of some of these players. I'm anxious to find out.
  10. I'll have to disagree with you here. The roster definitely needs to improve, but I think a coach could have gotten more than, not much, out of the current one.
  11. Wow. I don't mind this at all. I just really hope they seriously looked at all the options.
  12. This is the Ruff residence, who may I ask is calling?
  13. Nice chance, desperately need those to go jn
  14. No politics, please.
  15. I think the difference is Comrie will be 29 in July and UPL turned 25 last Month.
  16. My guess is he meant 6-7 mil total for 3 years.
  17. I appreciate the time it took to respond in such length and detail. I'm sorry though, as smartly written as your post is, it's full of conjecture. I suppose what makes you feel the most supported of your opinion is that we are historically bad. I just can't get onboard with you pretending to know that a 73 year old man's entire work history is and that he's never managed people before this. It's absolutely likely that people are misinformed and wrong on a message board, when it's a fact that they couldn't have the information to be credible. You think Kim Pegula created a toxic work culture? It's been suggested he has taken professional advice on hires, so the Leino example from 12-13 years ago, eh. You lost me at meddling. He's the owner and it's perfectly legitimate and reasonable for decisions to be explained to him before they're made. There's obviously been a change since he bought the team to present. I don't know what it is and neither do you. Except we continue to lose and frustration doesn't begin to explain what this fan base is going through.
  18. Nah, you're not honest, which makes you boring.
  19. That's good information and I've read it before, possibly from you or SS. I just don't see how it gives us much insite as interestingasitis. Would you agree that we know very little about Terry's involvement, thoughts and motives are? We just don't hear much from him. I get that frustration leads to fans having wild opinions but I stand by my post.
  20. To be fair, I didn't claim to know. Interesting that you didn't ask this question of the person, who said he doesn't believe he's been hurt. We agree, Tage has not played well. All else isn't whatever, it's opinion. I don't like when it's presented as truth.
  21. Yes after stating you don't think it is. You make things up, but go on.
  22. I don't think there's any issue with voicing your opinion but you don't like when it's challenged. For example, how could you possibly know if Tage has or hasn't been hurt? You don't just say, well I don't think he was/is/has been. You say , oh yeah, if he's so hurt, why didn't he pull himself from the lineup? That's just being overtly nonsensical because you take entirely too much joy from the demise of the team. It's nauseating and I'm calling you out on it.
  23. Spewing nonsense doesn't make you a hero. The team sucks and it fits your posting history perfectly. You think that makes you smart.
  24. Yeah NHL players shut themselves down when they're hurt. Just when you seemingly can't get more ridiculous, you do.
