  1. I had the same exact dream but my wife was the goalie. I kid...
  2. Chained to the desk in a hybrid world - Bryan E. Robinson
  3. I tried to use sarcasm font.
  4. Pegula seems to have drafted very well and put together a nice pool. Am I doing that right?
  5. My guess is the organization was already feeling a certain way about Skinner and Ruff agreed he can move forward without him.
  6. KA: "Hey just to let you know we made the trade for Malenstyn." TP: "ok" I think we can put to rest Terry is making hockey decisions and dictating.
  7. Completely disagree. We can typically earn money in our fields much longer vs an NHL player that stops earning in their 30's. I think 500K certainly matters to them too.
  8. Samuelsson hopefully healthy, Byram coming late and starting the season with us, the upgrades to more defensively responsible forwards with speed and Ruff make me feel comfortable with our goalie situation. If UPL played well last year, I have to believe not only he can be, but the situation around him should be too.
  9. I like them the most and voted twice. That likely did it.
  10. '22 and '23 were a B+? I'd say not very credible at this point.
  11. JMO, but I'd imagine it's fairly simple to determine the numbers and "process" is just another way of saying - we give the sides time (2 weeks) to agree on something before the hearing date. I don't believe it actually takes the arbitrator two weeks. The evidence that is allowed to be presented during these hearings included a player's performance/statistics, injury history, length of service, leadership qualities and contribution to the team's results. Teams/players cannot use other players' salaries or the state of the team's cap situation during these discussions.
  12. My apologies for depicting you as mostly negative. My recollection was incorrect.
  13. Really like this post and I agree. I haven't gone through a thorough comparison but it feels like he did less for Granato and Krueger vs Ruff. So agreeing that KA has tried to accommodate coaches to some degree, I'm of the opinion he's doing more because Ruff knows better what to do than previous coaches. There seems to be a trust and simpatico situation developing. It could be that KA is feeling that for the first time and hence a we're seeing a more aggressive KA. I also believe the timing is right for bigger moves, where I'm not sure it was until now. It's for this reason, I loved the Ruff hire, far beyond nostalgia.
  14. There's no question Lindy's influence is all over this off season. He's a man to be trusted too. He knows players as well as anyone, GM or coach.
  15. When you try to Dog the franchise in every single thing, it starts to turn your posts into something to not take seriously. I know you love the team. It's time to give it a rest and it's ok to start recognizing things are looking up.
  16. Oh definitely know we're not arguing, I just wanted to make sure you knew I wasn't. So the deal with the Oilers factors in. Cheaper with a lot of skill and McLeod does multiple things. So IMO, our factors could be coming together in order to do a proper comparison for losing Mitts. A lot to discuss with this move today for sure.
  17. I'm not arguing with you, I'm just adding a couple points to consider in addition to. Totally agree that we could have handled his contract, to me, that's a separate thing. I'm just saying as we directly compare him vs what we do, that should be entered into the equation.
  18. I think you're leaving a couple things out. Of course having both Mitts and Quinn would make us better. It's are we better with a good defender, players coming up, what else we do vs Mitts and 5.75 mil.
  19. The more I look into this signing, the more I like it.
  20. If they become truly harder to play against, it can often result in more offense. I wouldn't be surprised to see a bump up in some players production.
  21. Agree and he's definitely presenting himself that way in his own words.
  22. Respectfully, you don't know how much this player moves the needle. It could be just as easily said he could move the needle a good bit on a team sorely lacking toughness. Both comments would be complete conjecture. I suppose if you want to feel negative, you'll say things like this. I however, would like to see what he does for us before getting emotional about it.
  23. That's the right amount of money for his services.
  24. I'll take that. You're on. Just to be clear, just goals?
  25. Smart by him and the team. I hope he wins one there.
