  1. Sorry PA, hopefully great minds think alike, but alas, we're all toiling in the same vineyard here.
  2. I get the feeling this wish of yours to kill some of the central characters off is a metaphorical manifestation born from the long repressed fulfillment of killing off Darcy's beloved "core". The Sabres and the Walking Dead...a couple of peas in a pod, and we keep tuning in.
  3. Who are these "Pegula people" that Hamilton refers to in the interview, whom nobody crosses and survives?
  4. A situation like this could lend itself to having a deleterious effect on future free agent signings. It reinforces the notion of a dysfunctional organization
  5. Well, judging from the youtube vids on him, he, at least, shoots the puck at the net without looking like he's aiming directly at the goalie's chest protector. In that regard, he's already ahead of some current Sabres.
  6. Great compilation...looks like the guy has some great wheels! Thanks!

  8. http://www.girlswithmuscle.com/images/full/160721578.jpg check out the guns on this lady, Marit Bjoergen from Norway, 3 time Gold medalist in cross-country skiing during these games. I swear she'd knock Razor on his backside, no problem!
  9. Sad day that... I can still remember seeing photos of the wrecked Porsche on the QEW.
  10. Rick shoulda taken the gang to B-lo,...walkers can't walk when it's freezing out.
  11. Man, this Latvian team is not shy about hitting.
  12. NBC has the beautiful and talented Rebecca Lowe on loan for these Olympic games from NBCSN's Premier League coverage and all I see are the two a$$clowns Bob (pink eyes) Costas and Lester Holt. Listening to these two just about makes it unwatchable, and their hockey announcer, Doc Emrick has such an annoying voice.
  13. By that standard, Olympic diving could be considered an art form and not a sport: all competitors dive from the same height, are on the board or platform solitarily, without a clock, and receive scores from judges based on execution and body position at entry to the water. There are technical aspects, but divers are largely judged on aesthetics.
  14. To the extent that artistic interpretation is involved, figure skating may not conform to traditional sports, but you have to admit they are athletes who train and physically exert themselves in a bonafide competition. As to the ladies, the costumes embellish their grace and physique, and add to the enjoyment. I'm thankful I'm not a judge...I get to stare.
  15. Yeah, the cross country skiing announcer goes insane when the leaders get to the finish line...I like his energy!
  16. I'm thinking with Harbor Center and FNC that Buffalo could potentially become a magnet for training for Olympic figure skaters from all nations. In the TV commentary, it's been noted several times that many of these international competitors train in Michigan. Why not Buffalo?
  17. I'm reminded of the John Winger comment at the Army recruiters station in "Stripes"..."you mean like flaming...?" Don't get me wrong, Johnny Weir knows his business and life is a beautiful thing.
  18. Gracie Gold...impressive! Put her out there with Tyler Ennis.
  19. He carries that Russian ballet"esque" flair too. Wish Grigorenko could skate like that.
  20. I saw that, that was from the soundtrack of "Highlander"...good tune!
  21. Figure skating observations: Kaetyln Osmond, the Canadian skater, sexy and sultry, came closest to twerking in her short routine, and it looked like she was wearing the nearest thing to a black thong under her outfit...just wow! That little Russian skater, Yulia, only fifteen years old, blew everyone else away in the ladies portion of the team competition. The American, Ashley Wagner is overrated, and lucky to be on the team after finishing out of the top three at the US finals in Boston. It's Sunday morning, and I'm wondering what the heck is that gold colored necklace that Johnny Weir, a commentator on NBC, is wearing around his neck?
  22. I actually think both interpretations could be correct: I think your exact quote was "Basically, they baited him into admitting...", in which case, it seems to me that saying "He didn't bite" would constitute a contradiction. There's a subtle difference between "baited" and "were baiting". Where the former is a done deal, the latter may allow for some wiggle. If you were a prosecutor and you presented that statement as an evidentiary declaration, and I sat on the jury, I'd have to vote to acquit because it doesn't fit.
