  1. Remember when Sabres were appointment viewing in ‘05/‘06 and ‘06/‘07? My now-wife was dumbfounded that I needed to watch every game. There’s 82! Plus playoffs! I still watch as many as I can, but now it’s often background. Like a baseball game. And, my wife need not worry about playoffs.
  2. Start Levi. Sit a “star.” Show some pride.
  3. Game 3, ALDS, 2021, Fenway Park. At the last minute, I bought two tickets to a Sox playoff game in 2021. Boston Public Schools had finally fully reopened. The Boston Marathon was that weekend. And, for the first time in over a year, the City felt like it had a heartbeat again. When my son and I first sat down, our seats were right behind a pole in the grandstand. Terrible seats. In the third inning, I wondered how long we could last in such insanely bad seats. I then looked at our tickets and realized we were sitting in the wrong section. While our new section wasn’t amazing, we weren’t sitting behind a pole. Crowd was electric all game. Christian Vasquez hit one over the Monster to win it in extras. My son jumped into my arms, and Fenway exploded. We walked home that night. As we made it back to Charlestown, we walked by the finish line on Boylston. When we got home, we watched the Bills beat the Chiefs on Sunday night football. Best sporting day of my life.
  4. We are so lucky to be watching a player like Josh Allen. Just a special talent. However, between the absurd officiating and that oh-so-familiar collapse at the end, that might have been one of the biggest guts punches we witnessed. Cannot waste another year of Allen. McDermott has to go.
  5. I am a Sabres, Bills, Red Sox and Celtics fan. Grew up in WNY. Parents had Boston ties. I now live steps away from TD Garden.
  6. How amazing would it be if UPL established himself as a legit number one?
  7. As a fan, thankful the team has a chance to turn the page four days later. However, Thursday Night Football games feel like London games. A lot of variables to be concerned about.
  8. Just incredible. Game gets handed to them on a platter. And they fritter it away. I really hate living in Boston on a day like today. Only solace is that my son got to see his team win.
  9. I will be at the game with a 12-year-old Pats diehard. Hoping to covert him by the 4th quarter. Tough sell to someone who is growing up ten minutes from TD Garden.
  10. Incredible lack of diligence in the hiring process. GMKA, HCDG, GMBB, and HCSM seem like good, honest people. But, whiskey tango foxtrot on some of these recent hires.
  11. Very tough battle ahead for Coach Melrose. Thankfully, in many cases, cognitive functioning remains intact throughout the fight.
  12. This team has looked out of sorts since the Sunday Night Football game against Green Bay last year. Way too early to draw any conclusions on this season. But, Bills might have a coaching problem.
  13. Such a simple but awesome detail to incorporate into the home sheet. Let’s get this season going!
  14. Signing Patrick Kane would remind me of John Brandon’s signing of Terrell Owens. Thankfully, Adams appears to be a real GM.
  15. Liked him. Played a heavy game. Plus, he had a sweet goal song.
  16. That voice. You knew you were home or a place that felt like home when you heard that voice. Never understood being sad about a stranger’s death. Now I do.
  17. No home game the night before Thanksgiving. That’s unusual.
  18. Great pick by the NHLPA. Donald Fehr is a polarizing figure, and certainly engendered some resentment towards the players he represented. Secretary Walsh had some nice wins over the past two years. Think he will do a nice job brokering labor deals without alienating the fans.
  19. A highly anticipated game against Ottawa to start 2023. Sabres are appointment tv again.
  20. Thank you for sharing this. Incredible story. Amazing selflessness.
  21. McDaniel claims that Tua’s health is the “first, foremost and only priority.” Starting today.
  22. I live within walking distance of TD Garden. To echo the sentiments expressed above, the developers did a tremendous job with that project. And, while not one to cry for the Bruins, that project opened literally days before the onset of the pandemic. Nevertheless, they managed to retain almost every tenant. Seems like a difficult template to emulate in Buffalo. KBC is in desperate need of something more than lipstick on a pig. I am cautiously optimistic PSE can execute on an appropriate overhaul.
  23. The Sabres are not back to appointment viewing for me, but I am confident they will be by October. This group believes in each other and I am starting to believe in them.
  24. That was a pretty entertaining OT. Love the effort tonight.
