I don't usually have much to complain about so i'm never usually in this thread. But the current state of the economy is really starting to bother me. Getting less hours at my job because of lack of business. But thats ok. I have enough money to get by. This week, two of my close friends found themselves to unemployment. A guy who had a decent full-time job and a girl who worked as a waitress. 30 hours a week she worked but since she started just 3 months ago, they let her go, which is understandable. But it just sucks. Then yesterday, my dad was told his company is shutting down. My dad has worked there for like 15 years. Very sad to live through this and see people you care about hurting. It sucks. I just think it's only going to get worse.

My team is in a free-fall right now. The short week and Biron not playing, really is causing me a lot. I, "down" 4-6 right now at the All-Star break, but i didn't have enough goalies for the week, so i will end up losing 1-10 or what ever the number of categories there is.

Anyone selling? I'm looking for 2 seats in the 300s for the Carolina game. It's a Saturday night, Jan 17th. If anyone is selling, please PM me.

Cubs GM Jim Hendry. WTF is he waiting for? Trade DeRosa to Minnesota, don't get greedy. And let go of Vitters. We could get Jake Peavy for Vitters, who plays 3B or LF in college/minors.... HELLO! We have Ramirez and Soriano so eventually we will trade Vitters and Peavy is an ELITE pitcher. And sign Milton Bradley as rumored. Cubs are such a back ass organization it's not even funny. Kerry Wood pretty much begged to stay, they say no, then few days later Hendry says "we need to add to the bullpen".... YOU JUST LET ONE OF THE BEST CLOSERS GO! And Mets getting JJ Putz for almost nothing, really upsets me. Pick up the damn phone Hendry.

Too bad this isn't Complaint Thursdays like 3 years ago when i used to work at Rite Aid. LOL i used to have to deal with those guys all the time to fix our Kodak picture maker, which was like a brand new technology and kodak had all their staff located in India. I always got so upset with them. But some of those guys were cool though. Barley understood wtf they were saying though. lol But here today, i have no complaints. Had a day off today. I didn't think i had anything but here it goes. Just finished watching the US Soccer game vs. Japan from China. Peter Nowak, is ruining this team. Japan could have scored 2 goals in the first half (empty net misses) and they should have been awarded two PK's in the 2nd half. USA got a goal, which wasn't even pretty by Stuart Holden to win 1-0 but Japan are one of the worse teams in these olympics, and USA should be one of the best with the squad they have. First of all, the roster selection was dumb, Brian McBride shouldn't be there. They should have used that vet spot on a central defender. The subs he made are awful. How Altidore doesn't smart is beyond me. Freddy Adu is a huge asset and has always failed as a forward, dominates in the midfield, and yet Nowak has him in forward. USA barly qualified for these Olympics which is a joke, Cuba almost beat this European-based stacked team for god sake. In 2 games pre to the Olympics, USA didn't score once. Today they scored once but got lucky to win. I was hoping for USA to shock the doubters and get a top 3 finish at these games and with the roster it's possible, but Nowak is going to ruin it. Nigeria and the Dutch should have a easy time against this team. It's not coached right and they didn't bring the right players. Carlos Boconegra should be there and should be captain. I'm upset! Glad we won. But this could be the last win. I'm going to bed. Good night.

lol i've never been to Mighty Taco sober.... lol the only times i've gone is after Sabres games when i'm totally hammered on the way home we usually stop for a bit to eat or once i went to a party in Depew, we went there at like 2am. lol Good times. Been there like a total of 5 times. I have a friend, who used to post on this forum like 3 years ago, who would drive with friends from Gates to Buffalo just to get Mighty Taco. lol I kid you not.

It's fvcking raining again. Is this the worst summer ever or what?

I'm TOTALLY upset with my cable company, Time Warner. Don't get me wrong, i usually love TW and i have no problems with them esspicially now since they offer Sabres in HD. But, my STUPID ASS neighbor was doing yard work and cut our cable cords. So my cable went out. I didn't have tv all day Monday, which is cool, i wasn't home and i called TW. They said they'd send out a guy on Tuesday BETWEEN 9am and 3pm. WTF! 6 hour window seems a bit much? Ok, so its ok. I had off from work, so i slept in til like 10am, got worried that i missed the dude, but nah not yet. I stayed waiting til 1pm. I had no food in the house, so i made a quick run to Wegmans. I was gone 20 minutes. I come back and theres a note on the door. Like WTF. That always happens to me. It's like he was outside across the street waiting for me to leave. What a punch in the balls. Worst feeling ever. Seems to happen alot to me, from UPS to the cable guy. I'm surprised the note he left on the door didn't just say "LOL". But thinking about it, it was my fault for leaving, but giving me a 6-hour window? I couldn't do ANYTHING all day. God forbid i got hungry.

I left Soriano out because he's garbage. I don't like him at all. And yes, he shouldn't have played at the ASG (well, made it) As for Fukudome, he's struggling on the road hitting, that is true. He's a great home hitter and he's amazing on defense. Doesn't defense matter anymore?? And his on-base percentage is higher then all 3 of those guys. Not to mention, those three play in a sandbox at PNC park.

Good thread. Here's something on my mind all week. The MLB all-star game. As a NL fan and a fan of the Chicago Cubs, and i never liked the all-star game to mean as much as HOME FIELD advantage but i can't believe how DUMB the rules are. First off all, last year NL champion manager is the all-star coach. WHY? Who gives about LAST season THIS season. He's always been a horrible manager, last year he had a bad start and finished great... great. Now he's sucking again and managing the team that is playing for HOME FIELD for my cubs and the other NL powers? Second of all, he personally selects Brad Lidge, the biggest LOSER as a closer. The guy has given up more homers in the 9th then ANY current pitcher in the majors. He was thrown out of Houston after like 10 chances and in Philly, sure he's good but come on, half a season? Other players have just as good of stats and they should have had another starter in there. Now, how fair is it, that players such as STARS Aramis Ramirez, Fukudome, Lance Berkman and even Utley play so little in the game, yet the NL had an "ALL STAR" outfield of Ryan Ludwick, Nate McLouth and Corey Hart for like 7 effing innings???? And let's not forget Christian GUZMAN at 3rd base? Dan Uggla who can't even get a simple grounder, 3 times..... these are the players who are trying to players on teams like the Mets, Phillies, Cubs and DBacks the HOME FIELD advantage in the world series? These bums? Please. Rules gotta change. Two changes i'd make, one, make like a NHL rule, say, on JUNE 20th, best team in NL and AL sends their manager to the all-star game, not the lucky manager from the previous season. Two, if the game goes into extra innings, FIELD players can be re-used. So, no more GUZMAN in 3rd, we'd have Aramis Ramirez. No MORE Dan Uggla at 2nd base, we'll have Chase Utley. And so on. What a joke. The format is now like 8-0 in favor of the AL since they made it "worth" something.... umm wtf? That's fair? Btw, American league is like 12-2 in the first 2 games of the WC since this was a rule. Total joke. Rant over. See ya next Thursday.

The Stadium Wall has a new banner, i was wondering if their were any plans of pimping up our banner? It's kinda weak to be honest, and whats that girl doing up there anyways? Whats the future outlook, will we ever have a current player or a legend up there? Thanks.
