Reviewing Adams' Off-season acquisitions at the half way mark

Right. And that's a problem for the future. Peterka might be gone regardless even with Savoie gone. What makes him untouchable? The point is, trading Savoie for a fourth liner, might come back to haunt us. Original post guy was wondering if we should even re-sign McLeod. That was the point. Throwing away prospects bc we might not have room for him in 2-3 years isn't a good way to build a team. -

If he was on the team, he should be spending a lot of time in Rochester. But i don't hate the idea of trading him, but time will tell if trading him for McLeod made sense or not. -

He's a 21 year old, why wouldn't it be likely? -
I thought yesterday was the best he's looked since returning in the games i've seen. I think its only a matter of time before it starts to click for him and he goes off.

FYI- Savoie in last 6 games: 5 goals + 7 assists. Kid is becoming a beast. Some teams just seem to know how to develop players better than we do. -
Graham Slaggert scored his league-leading 5th shorthanded goal today. I also thought Komarov had a strong game. Leone trusted him late in the game as he was on the ice for both of the Amerks empty net goals.

Östlund has played in 7 straight games now.

Sabres acquire Bennett MacArthur and Jagger Joshua from Pittsburgh

It still seems to me something gotta give with these trades. Even tonight, Amerks sat Neuchev who has played so Kisakov can finally play and he had a 3 point night. Nadeau never plays but i dont think Leone rates him. But this is also without Helenius and Walhberg who will return to the team in a few days. MacAthur is a speedy winger. Tampa Bay always brings in one of those late round picks/non drafted guys to camp from the Quebec league who was a high end scorer. This one just happened not to turn out. Jagger is not a ECHL player. He was a good college player, just happened to play on a very bad team (Michigan State, they've since gotten back on track), last season played 63 games in the AHL. He's basically Beck Malenstyn. Who was a major part of the Hershey Bears Cup run. I imagine they're gonna want to play this guy. -

Wouldn't a trade like this be made by Jason Karmanos? -
7th straight road win and league-leading 14th road win of the season. I have to hand it to Karmanos, he build a machine in Rochester. They are relentless, none stop forecheck. I watched the game tonight with the Springfield feed and the announcer was saying he hasn't seen such a tenacious group all season. Said they were non-stop. The Amerks achilles heal is their power play. Ranked 22nd i believe going into tonight's game. Also, great play at the end for the empty net by Kozak. He couldve tried to shoot at the empty net twice, but decided carry it and muscle for possession, wasting even more time and then once he got freed he made a nice pass to Rousek.

If things don't get better soon, i would send Kulich down. Let him play down the stretch, meaningful hockey and make a run at the Cup with Rochester.

For a team thats about to miss the playoffs for 14 straight seasons. lol

GDT: Buffalo Sabres @ Colorado Avalanche 01/02/25 9PM --MSG

Kulich falling asleep on the 3rd Colorado goal, they just keep making the same mistakes. They get off to early leads and then one by one, shift by shift, guys start to take a couple of shifts off. Kulich has been playing good, but he needed to do better on Colton. But this happens every game, and not just by 1 or 2 guys, its half of the team. All those mistakes add up and thats how the Sabres get pounded after they have first period leads.
