  1. RIP, Mr. Fuji.
  2. Anybody remember when Kaepernick was fined for calling somebody a n*gg*r?
  3. What white people are upset about not being able to tell black people what to do? What exactly do they want to tell them? Aren't they a fraction of a percentage that you desperately want to represent a majority? What exactly needs to "get done"? With the exception of a few isolated police shootings (some of which were white people getting shot) where many have been determined to be justified, is there widespread, large scale racism like there was 100 years ago? Does black on white racism not exist? What has Kaerpernick done to promote some sort of change? Is he going to be one to talk a big game and riot like the rest without any semblance of an organized movement? What is the plan and what needs to be changed? Most of these are fairly relevant questions because all I keep hearing are your typical talking points like "we need to have a national conversation". Does racial tension exist? Sure it does. But does it really encompass the daily lives of every single person to the point where this whole country is racially divided?
  4. Absolutely he has a right. What you say can also have consequences. Just ask Hope Solo. I am an ardent supporter of the 1st Amendment.
  5. Speaking of minorities, why are whites disproportionately represented in professional sports? We all know what happens if blacks aren't proportionately represented anywhere. Until we can apply equality to ALL, I don't think it's fair to criticize me (nobody here did) for speaking my mind against Kaepernick. He wants praise for speaking his mind, why do his critics get chastised for speaking theirs? The funny think about the 1st Amendment, it applies to everybody, not just minorities. I agree with Bogo, there are better ways to stand for something without disrespecting your country. He's disrespecting everybody, which includes those who want equality and to rid this country of racism. I think he'd be as dangerous hanging from the left side of the political spectrum as McConnell has been hanging from the right. Just more gridlock.
  6. God help us.
  7. I do too, and I love his attitude. I think he's the answer if he can stay healthy. I've got no problem with a crazy man in net, it might (and has) bring some missing excitement to the games. I just don't like that the backup situation wasn't taken care of.
  8. I saw that list the other day, and I re-arranged their top 10. Very similar to yours. Price Holtby Lundqvist Schneider Bishop Crawford Jones Quick Flower Rinne If I made my own top 10, I wold add Lou, Elliott and Rask by removing Quick, Flower and Rinne. I think this is Lundqvist's last year as a dominant player. I also put Crawford higher than I have in the past. I used to rag on him for being overrated but he has become incredibly consistent. Which says a lot considering the defensive turnover the Blackhawks go through year after year.
  9. Is there an app for that?
  10. Wow, don't I feel like an idiot. Why did I think Rinne was Swedish? It's gonna be one of those days...........
  11. He hasn't been funny since he decided to start being himself. Between Corden, Fallon and Colbert, late night talk shows have hit an all time low.
  12. I predicted it earlier, Murray's reluctance to address the goaltending situation is going to kill this season. His ego is going to get the best of him. By the way, do they think Rinne is that washed up (I do) where Sweden goes with Lehner and Enroth before him? Or is Rinne just not playing?
  13. Like Hoss said, they need to be under the cap when the season starts before being placed on LTIR. Since he's already on LTIR his $5+mil would count on opening night. There is nobody left to sign and they had room for Bolland regardless. I just don't see any reason to unload a 1st round prospect (whether or not he dropped off last year) to clear up cap space unless they plan to add another high $$ player. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I need to see another full season to be sold on Pirri. When he scored 22 goals in 49 games in 2014-15, it was very reminiscent of Stafford in 2010-11. Everything he touched went in the net, he had an awful lot of lucky bounces and good breaks. If he was as good as his stats show, he wouldn't be on his 4th team with less than 200 games played and settled for a low $$ contract.
  14. Somebody please convince me how this was a good deal for the Panthers. I wonder how much (or how little) say Tallon had in this deal.
  15. Oh man, the good ole days.
  16. I stopped eating fast food BECAUSE they went cheap. All their food sucks nowadays. Their service is terrible, the establishments are dirty and uninviting. The product looks inedible. I'm well aware of what I'm supposed to eat to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and I do it often. But I don't go to fast food joints for my health. When they all started changing their menus to be more health conscious, it went to hell. On top of that, they still didn't make it much healthier. Now it's just a bunch of fillers with a hint of beef, chicken and potatoes. Maybe I'm the minority and they couldn't care less whether or not they cater to my demographic. In the grand scheme of things, I thank them for ruining their product as I cook more because of it. What were we talking about again?
  17. Damn you Justin Timberlake!
  18. I'm offended you think of me as a kid. I own several Malawis.
  19. If that's racist, then what is this?
  20. I'm so proud of you!
  21. I was only being half serious about my post, but thanks, that does help to clear some things up. And I do agree, U2 is a terribly overrated band in my opinion. On a side note, I have the urge to watch The Birdcage again for the 100th time. What a great movie!
  22. So now, here we have young kids who still haven't figured out who they are and now they want to make it so they don't know who everybody else is either. I think 'student' and 'scholar' is demeaning. To me, a 'scholar' has superior knowledge so by calling a child a 'scholar' implies that the 'students' aren't quite up to par. That might send them into a lifetime of depression and guilt.
  23. I'm still trying to wrap my head around pansexual, transexual, transgender, transvestite, crossdresser, transfeminine, transmale, transmasculine, drag queen and Chaz Bono. Somebody let me know when they've reached a conclusion on DSD's.
