The term conservative itself isn't what it used to be. Conservatism never used to be about religion and guns. Conservatism used to be about fiscal responsibility and 'mind your own business, I'll do what I want, you do what you want' mentality. Of course most conservatives were religious back then, and many were gun owners, but it wasn't used to define the term. That's why when I get into a discussion with people, I ask them to define conservatism before we get too deep into the conversation.
I'm not going to read all that at the moment. But rising tuition costs isn't all about reduced state and federal funding.
This bill had more to do with protesting on highways than funding for Play-Doh and petting zoos. But he is right.
