They're all liars. That's why campaigning is a farce. We weren't going to get free college if Hillary of Bernie were elected. I didn't keep my doctor and Guantanamo still isn't closed. Nobody is going to directly bring back manufacturing jobs. As long as there is 50ยข/hr labor wages overseas, nobody is going to want to bring manufacturing back to the US.

Guess what, he's not going to build a wall either.

My whole point was that Trump isn't going to change our lives in any significant way, just like our lives didn't change significantly under Obama. Each time the opposing side preached doom and gloom that we were all going to be peasants under either a socialist or a nazi regime. The point was made that Trump would ruin Healthcare. Can we agree that Healthcare isn't working right now no matter which direction it goes? You should know better.

I think what he's trying to say is Obamacare never became affordable except for the people who I pay for. On top of the fact that Obama was in bed with big pharm so he never once considered any kind of regulation to actually make insurance affordable.

Yeah, I've got a smaller model gas grill. Never considered using it for a turkey at the time of purchase, it's big enough for what I need otherwise. It's probably out of the question. I've mastered this gas grill for regular meals, but I'd love to get the Egg like you have for days when I have extra time. A new culinary adventure. This year's improvement to the turkey might come down to brining and injecting. Over the last few years I've taken the standard oven approach and tried different things to make it much juicier. Thanks for the link!

At this point I'd just be happy to find it.

So the line is discriminatory policies? What about economic policies? What about domestic policies? What if the group didn't like the bathroom issue in NC? Shouldn't he expect pushback from that? Just because you draw your line, doesn't mean that's the line that needs to be enforced. Face it, there are double standards everywhere. Just like if Hillary won the electoral and not the popular........... the vast majority of liberals woudn't be saying a peep about the Popular Vote Bill. (Not singling anybody out in this forum) You know it, and I know it.

Even Trump said he's not going to repeal it. It's been several years now since Obama are went into effect and it hasn't helped me one bit. I figured it would take a year or two, but it hasn't gotten any better up to this point. Deductibles have increased 400-500% and premiums have increased approx 100% since Obamacare went into effect. For me, at least. I know why costs haven't gone down, we could talk about this for days. But the fact remains, this was supposed to become more affordable.

There are double standards everywhere. How would liberals react if a group came out and lectured Biden on a night where he just wanted to go out with his family? You and I both know the answer to that one. Thinking this was a setup to cover for Trump's settlement is just silly.

You must have one of the larger Webers.

Talked about and actually gaining traction and becoming a mainstream topic are two entirely different things. I've talked about a Libertarian becoming president, that doesn't mean it will ever happen, nor does it mean anybody talks about the 4 years in between elections. You can dream all you want about a popular vote, liberals usually do because it gives red states very little say. The truth is it will never work because you need Republican support. Swing states won't even get in on the action. I'm curious, exactly what is this 'narrative'?
-
That's all well and good, but you're still never going to get the support of red states.
-
One, it requires an amendment. Congress can't pull their own heads out of their much less pull off an amendment. Two, it doesn't appear likely the Dems will have full control in the near future. Three, an election was just won because of the electoral college by a Republican so it is very unlikely to gain ground in a Republican controlled congress. Four, it requires the ratification of 3/4 of the states. The most support of abolishing the electoral college are the largest states. There is no way it will gain 3/4 support because the electoral college is there to give representation to smaller states.
-
No, it's par for the course for them. I don't see it gaining much traction in the near future.

Pysyk had 12 blocked shots in 23 minutes last night. Three shy of the NHL record.

Are the Bills going to make it in with less wins? The electoral playoff spot. B-)
-
The two wild card teams are already 2 games up on everybody else. So not only do the Bills have to pick up two games on those teams (possibly three if they don't have the tiebreaker) but then they have to hope the five other teams with five wins don't do the same thing. It's probably going to take an 11-5 record to make the playoffs this year. The Bills aren't going 6-0 to end the season.
-
I can't believe there is actually discussion about the Bills making the playoffs. It's just not going to happen.
