Tom Rowe did an interview with Friedman today and apparently Rowe said Viola and him agreed to fire Spuddy after Christmas. Then Rowe got a phone call from Viola telling him to fire Spuddy right after the Carolina game. So Rowe is throwing his boss under the bus by showing everybody what we already know, Viola is running every aspect of this team. To make matters worse, Rowe said he had no intentions of coaching and that he advocated for Spuddy several times over saying that he is the perfect guy to run this team. I'm getting the impression Rowe wants no part in this either and that him being named coach might have been a demotion. Somebody mentioned that this has turned into one big West Point boy's club. That's exactly what it is, they don't even have a dedicated GM. It's a real shame to see what has happened to this team in such a short amount of time. I'm sure many of the players want nothing to do with this and are probably regretting the long term contracts they just signed. On a positive note, many of those contracts are manageable and could be easily dealt if they are willing to trade them. Florida is a real mess. Tom Rowe is trying to coach a style entirely wrong for this roster. This team is in trouble. What a shame.

He's been having a pretty good year all around. If Larsson and Foligno are around next year, I wouldn't mind if he wants to stick around one more year to be on that line.

It was discussed. I think it would be foolish for Murray to pursue trading Kane. It's one thing to break up a 2nd line for a trade. But Reinhart, Kane and Eichel clicked last year when they were put together. And Kane seems to be finding his game. I'm sure Eichel wants Kane on his line, and it's nice to have somebody to protect them when needed. Kane has flaws, those flaws can be fixed. And like has been mentioned, Kane is probably the only one fast enough to keep up with Eichel. If they can get 20 goals out of him (which should be pretty simple) then his intangibles are why he needs to stay here and stay on that line. You can't ask for a linemate that can stand up for his linemates and then complain because he's prone to injury. Two goals wouldn't have happened tonight without Kane. If Murray is taking trade offers for a deadline deal, I'll lose a lot of faith I had in him.

So why do we need to bring it into this thread? The right leaning SS'ers rarely did it under Obama, why should it be acceptable on this board for the left to do it? Yet this board let's them get away with it. Hypocrisy was mentioned earlier today........ Here's another example to add to that list.

OK, thanks. I was just confused as to what the requirements were for an 'exposed' goaltender. I assumed there was a minimum game requirement for goaltenders, apparently that's not the case. So I'm sure most teams have a 3rd stringer in the AHL with a pro contract that they'll use to expose.
