Stats or no stats, you don't go loading up your front office with inexperience just because you have some sort of connection with your Alma Mater. And if you don't know hockey, you don't go telling your coach and GM how to do their jobs.

The new owner has taken a fast team and forced them to be a team they're not. He forced the GM to trade away any physicality they had left because his analytics team said so, then he forced the GM to fire the coach, demoted the GM to head coach, named two kids (who have never played professional hockey, at least one having played no hockey at all) heading the analytics department as co-GM's, the new coach who traded away all the physicality now says as coach that they need to become more physical and they're wondering why it's not working scoring 9 goals in 6 games. The new owner is an ego driven rich man compensating for a small dick by turning his staff into a West Point boys club with no hockey experience. All while micromanaging every single aspect of the team. It's really sad to what was a high paced, fast, successful team being turned into something they're not. Most people on this forum know more about hockey than Viola, and he's trying to run the team all by himself. He's going to ruin what took 5 years to put together.

You'd love Doug Stanhope. I watched Dice's stand up from a couple of years ago (in Chicago?) It was his first gig in years and you could tell off the bat he was a little nervous. But after about 10 minutes the old Dice started kicking in like it was natural, like he never missed a beat. To me, it's all about the delivery and the approach. Some comedians try way too hard, and some make it into an act. I don't want an act, I want the real person. In most cases it's very obvious who is a natural, and who isn't. It's one reason I like Madigan. She makes it look so laid back and she doesn't have to have a shtick. Ron White, Stanhope, Robin Williams...... All the same way. It was all natural, no act. I went to see Lisa Lampenelli and her act is hilarious! Once. After that it's boring and repetitive. She's an act, she's not a comedian.

If you're a subscriber of Spotify, there is a TON of stand up on there. Many people don't know that.

Nice list! A real shame Hedberg wasn't around long enough to hit his prime. I think he was just getting there. Only one I disagree with is Dennis Miller. Never liked him or his style.

Not sure about Goober's willingness to use Des as a defenseman, but I'm sure it would have been a strong consideration at some point if he were healthy. Not many teams have a spare forward they can use as an emergency D-man.

I'll take Des and Gorges over any of their replacements, any day. Carrier has a place on this team............ just not right now.

As long as the Bills aren't willing to have the patience to groom a QB for a couple of years, and get away from the instant gratification BS, they're never going to be a winner. Most all of the great QB's in this league had to go through the learning stages. Half of the great QB's in this league would have been cast away by the Bills because they didn't win immediately. Tyrod has issues that can be taught, and fixed with time. What he does have can't be found in most QB's and can't be taught. He is the least of their concerns at the moment.
