This is why I have zero confidence the Sabres can put together a string for the stretch run. There have been a VERY small handful of games where they have actually dictated the play and dominated their opponents. For a team where they are in the standings, this is unacceptable. Most of their wins have been nail-biters or come from behind wins where they NEEDED to get behind by two goals in order to start playing. Good to great teams dictate the play and dominate their opponents on a regular basis. Mediocre teams hang on by a thread every game. If it wasn't for goaltending this year, they'd be in last place.
How anybody can play this average against the two worst teams in the league is beyond me. Something needs to change.
