Thank you, I enjoyed that. I have to keep this link handy, it might come in useful. I don't think it will end. I would settle for an improvement but the dumbing down is only going to make it worse. I used to help out at my alma mater and other students would send me Emails when they needed assistance. It was getting to the point where they were treating Emails like texts, I spent more time trying to decipher them with all the abbreviations. I know what all the abbreviations stand for but I just couldn't take it any more so I started returning all the Emails; I told them to use proper English and structure and get back to me. Don't take it out on me because you're lazy. But, I digress. :angel:

That's funny! I've done that a few times myself. The only problem is a few of the people I have pulled that on now purposely go out of their way to say it in front of me.

I give Ray a pass on this only because he's not a professional journalist. He is on TV because he is a local celebrity and pretty qualified to comment on hockey. What does bug the hell out of me is watching TV and hearing professionals talk like elementary school students. Like you said, 'um' or 'ya know' or 'literally'. The list goes on, most of the time I change the channel or turn the TV off. I don't know why it literally irks me so much, it just does.

HAHA! The use of that word has really gotten out of hand lately. Not only don't most people know how to use the word in the correct context, they use it repeatedly to put emphasis on their point because they think it's so much more important than what everybody else says. :doh: But, I digress. :rolleyes:

Valid point. He's never been bad at FO's, just a bad couple of games. Seems everybody could use a little work on FO's. I was watching that game down here. He got escorted out later in the game, I wish I knew why.

I disagree with you about Hecht. I thought he created a couple of really good scoring opps today. I would be more concerned about his long term health than his performance. But, I do agree Myers has been downright awful. He really needs to wake up. His youth and awkwardness is no longer an acceptable excuse.

I had a really hard time figuring out where the hell Kaleta deserved a 10 minute miscounduct. I had an ene tougher time trying to find where he got that roughing penalty with 2 to go. Ennis/Hodgson a combined 7-29 on faceoffs. Ouch.

I actually thought Hecht had a pretty good game. He had a few nice setups.

I know of at least one goal Regehr singlehandedly kept from going in.

I'm just wondering why guys like Finley needed to clear waivers and now I see guys like Aucoin and Connolly. I'm assuming Aucoin and Connolly were outright waived, but Finley with a two way contract I don't get, I thought that was addressed with the new CBA. Ah, OK. So the players with two way contracts had to sign AHL contracts in order to play there since there was no CBA. So any of the guys like Finley who wouldn't have made the team need to go back through the process since they signed an AHL contract?

Can somebody explain to me what is with all the waivers? Am I missing something?

When NHLGC stepped up to HD and I still had 1.5 MBPS internet, it was borderline fast enough. It wasn't bad most of the time. If you have over 3 MBPS I would say you're plenty fast enough. One thing to keep in mind though, every year when the season starts the games have always been choppy because of the huge amount of traffic because they always offer a free trial. So even if you have problems it might be because of that and not your speed. After a week or so everything gets back to normal and it's usually spot on. Hopefully they upgraded their servers this year.

I've got U-Verse so I can't get CI, which sucks. What also sucks just as much is that they also dropped the NHL Network. :wallbash: You watch the games on the app? That would suck if the app isn't up to par. I never really tried it, I just stream on the laptop and hook it up via HDMI to my TV. I don't see how it couldn't be available considering they've had all this extra time to get it finished.

Why was Finley on waivers?

Yes on the Game Center! At the very least update the site so we know it'll be up and running on time. Yeah, online stuff would have been nice.

I'm boycotting all home games.
