I agree. He's been a fairly consistent, solid D-Man every since the Sabres picked him up. Not everybody can be $7 mil/yr talent D-Man and even if they could be nobody can afford more than one or two of them. Most people need a whipping boy(s) for every loss (in the case of this forum, even wins in some cases :D) and since that was the best game they've looked in the last 4, Leo is the victim this time. Granted he looked poor on that last play, but so did Miller. Had that been Enroth in net nobody would even be talking about Leo.

So here we are with many people saying that Ruff/Regier need to be canned if the Sabres miss the playoffs. But, wasn't it the general concensus that we were probably going to miss the playoffs because of the transactions made over the last year? If I remember correctly, many people on here were willing to accept the fact (reluctantly) that with the addition of some really young offensive talent that this year wouldn't be enough for them to mature and gel.

I actually thought they played pretty damn good, especially the 2nd half of the game. I put that game on Miller. Why oh why can't we have everybody have a good game on the same night? Team has played like crap in front of Miller his last 4 games, and now he returns the favor on a night they play well. This blows..............

In my opinion if you both agree to fight there should be no 10 minute misconduct. Why are y'all having issues with Game Center? I'm live with no cutoffs.

Same exact thing just happened in the Panther game. Jovanovski got hit with a cheap shot by Crombeen, Ellerby came over to fight Crombeen and they both agreed to fight. Crombeen got 2 for the trip, Ellerby got 2 for instigator, they both got 5 for fighting yet Ellerby got an extra 10 even though they both agreed to fight and both dropped the gloves at the same time. Between these BS means of eliminating fighting and the BS interference calls this year, WTF is the NHL thinking?!?!?!

How many forwards in this league can actually put up consistent numbers to beat that? The tiny handful that can are considered superstars and most teams can't afford more than one. Do you expect us to have 5 or 6 of them? As poor as this team has been described offensively, since Briere and Drury left they have finished 4th, 10th, 11th, 9th and 16th in scoring. Barring that month or so of absolute nightmare last season with all the injuries, this team has been a top 10 scoring team for the last five years. And all this has been done with a "superstar" goaltender. That should be more than enough to be successful. Offense is not the problem. People seem to have this fantasy that every forward in the league scores 40 goals a year and scores one every two games. Sorry, our forwards are no different than every other forward in the NHL.

In my opinion, so far this year each game has gotten progressively worse. That trend can only go on for so long........... right?

How many goals have the rest of our 4th liners scored? That's more than Leino and Leino got top line time. I'm not disbeliving you. I'm talking about the fact that everybody bitched about making the team bigger and tougher, now that they are you call it stupid.

I didn't think there was anything wrong with the scoring the last 30 games of the season. With the addition of a little more physical play, it should open up some more room for our offensive players to get better. It's only been 5 games, people.

And that goes back to last year when he was on the 4th line and his back was messed up. He was a 20 goal pace when he was on the 3rd line two years ago. He hasn't had that opportunity since. Either way, he's the last thing they need to worry about right now. They've got bigger issues.

Getting on Gerbe is a little unfair. The dude just came back after having major back surgery. Not to mention it's tough to gain any offensive momentum when you play on the 4th line. He hasn't done anything special, but it seems like he's done less damage than most of the first and second liners.

Well, it was fun watching these guys play by instinct the first couple of games. With the lack of training camp and pre-season Lindy hadn't had a chance to neuter them. Reality is setting back in.

And they scored two goals! Moving up in the world.......

Anybody know if NHL Network is streamed anywhere? I've got U-Verse AND NHL GameCenter and I can't get the game on either. WTF!

Myers looked good in his first year too.

I thought it was pretty good too. Lots of mistakes, but certianly not a team that was playing badly. Either way you look at it, 40 shots on goal in a period is fun to watch regardless of which team you root for.

People, people, people.............. it's one game.
