3 days between games....... Lindy has a new excuse for when they lose. 'We were a little rusty, haven't played in 3 days'.

Or the fact that he rarely finishes anywhere near the top in any statistical category except GP.

Not so much who they wouldn't want, I think many people are seriously overvaluing this guy. Ennis and Sekera are much more valuable to this team than a center who seems to overvalue himself with not much to back it up.

They need to hold on to Stafford for now. His slump is hitting a typical length so he's due to start producing again. Wait until he's about 20 games into a hot streak then trade him because we know another slump is right around the corner. :wallbash:

I've got no problem with guys speaking their minds and calling out other players when they need to be called out. But he has an excuse for every goal he let's in and the rest of the team doesn't have the balls to call him out when he screws up big. Dish it out, fine. But be able to take it AND have some guys with the nerve to dish it out.

Well aren't you just a wee bit condescending. That's not even remotely close to what I was getting at, but have it your way if it makes you feel superior. Nice. I don't see the point of trading players for the sake of trading them. Especially young players who have plenty of time to improve. I also don't understand the size argument. Why are people so obsessed with every player being 6'3" 220#? Gerbe and Ennis have done more with their speed and hands than they have lost with their size. So we get rid of Ennis and Gerbe and the rest of this board is in an uproar because the team is too slow. I don't get it.

I just don't understand why some people think other teams' players are any different than ours. Depending on what day of the week it is, every team has better prospects, bigger D-men, bigger wingers, faster wingers, more talented wingers, smarter D-men, better bench, better backups........... Yet if you asked their fans they'd say just the opposite. I really don't see a problem with having two small guys in the lineup. So far this year their speed has far outweighed their size in terms of making plays happen. Only problem for Gerbe is he just came back from injury and he only spent one game on an actual scoring line.

I prefer change for the sake of improvement. Maybe it's just me.

No we looked on the power play there.

He split duties with Vokoun in 08-09, would have had close to 40 if he didn't get hurt. 71 starts the following year, then 48, then 60. Check your stats, 10-11 are split between two teams.

This is his fifth year as a starter.

Point taken, but that wasn't the whole point. They've all been NHL caliber goaltenders and Lindy didn't like their numbers so he sat them 9 out of 10 games and then cried when they weren't up to par the next game. NHL caliber goaltenders will still put up decent numbers if they get a chance to play. 2 starts in the last 9 months, one of them being against the hottest goaltender in the league and 3 of your starting D-men out of the lineup. WTF did Lindy think would happen? This coach has become so damn precdictable it's not even funny any more, and I was a Lindy supporter up until this year. Throw your 2 start backup under the bus so you have an excuse to play Miller 9 out of 10 games.......... again. And then put some of the blame on missing the playoffs on the fact Miller was overplayed. skip skip skip skip skip................................. Now your highest scoring D-man with the 2nd highest +- might be scratched and he broke up Foligno/Gerbe who IMO was the best offensive combo last game. I just don't get it. It's like he's saying to himself "What more do I need to do to get fired around here?"

Nobody is going to win games in net when you play once a month........ and the team in front of you has scored more than 3 goals once in your last 22 starts. The last three backps BFLO has had in the last 6 years had terrible numbers. Are they all bad, or is there another common denominator?

Makes sense for Gerbe to go back down to the 4th line. After all, him and Foligno only had the best scoring chances last game, can't keep a pair together who had some chemistry. No. That's fine, I like that. As long as the criticism is directed at EVERYBODY when it's deserved. Not just the favorites.

Are the Sabres still the only team left without ice dancers? If so, fire them too.

Him and Foligno were both involved in two of the best scoring chances they had all game. I also recall Gerbe having at least two takeaways that never would have happened unless he busted his ass to do it. Something the others don't seem to do. Considering he wasn't allowed to do much of any working out during the offseason and it was his first game off the 4th line with significant playing time, I'd say he looked damn good. Keep Stafford off that line, he's a cancer. Maybe Foligno can start scoring with Gerbe on that line.

Gerbe had major back surgery during the off season and still wasn't ready when the season started. When he has played he's been on the 4th line. Just don't get why he's been trashed so bad up to this point. He hasn't had a chance.
