Tyler Myers for Jonathan Huberdeau................ straight up. -
Same goes for Theodore. Both those guys were expected to be gone by the deadline. Not gonna happen now.
-
Chara.............. another player who doesn't get suspended because he's not a repeat offender, because they never have the balls to suspend him the first time.
-
Theodore out 6 weeks with a torn groin. There's no way in hell he's back in 6 weeks with a torn groin. So much for trading him. Looks like Markstrom's call up will be permanent.

The PP is terrible, it needs a lot of work. But Rolston has done an awful lot with this team in a very short time. He's gotten everybody to play their roles, he's found a way to give them some heart, the team seems to want to win and he hasn't had much extended time at home to go over a lot of things that need improvement. He can only do so much in a short amount of time, I'm OK with what he has done so far. The PP will improve, it pretty much as to.

Spmething seriously messed up with the ice in Carolina. Halfway through the 2nd and 7 players have left the game, 5 of them hurt on their own. Kulikov went out with what looked like a separated shoulder hitting the wall after blowing a tire. Theodore must have pulled a groin something awful. he won't be back for a while. I saw Alfreddson got a 5 and a 10 for cross-checking :o . I wonder if they're related. Tried to look it up on NHL GameCenter but it must have been a nationally televised game because it won't be available for 48 hours.

I saw Grig involved in a lot of plays and be a part of a few scoring chances. I was very surprised to see he only had 6:30 of ice time. -

Time to trade Vanek. P-Ville has one goal in 11 games with Vanek on his line and finally comes up with two with Vanek out. -

I thought it was funny when Hamilton said during the 2nd intermission that Foligno needs to stop trying to be Perrault and then in the 3rd puts on that slick behind-the-back move to create a great scoring chance. -

So Gerbe with 2 goals the other night, Hecht scores today..... all we need is for Enroth to get a win and Stafford will be under the bus all by himself. -

Wouldn't this be a good game to start Enroth? I've got a feeling we're finally going to see a blowout win. -
Oh my, that was a long night!

I'm not going to gloat too much. Karma's a bitch haha. I just think he's gotten some undeserved criticism. He's gotten a second chance under Rolston and played really well lately so it was nice to see him bury some of those. Let's hope he's working his way back to his pace from a couple of years ago. At least for the time being I think this coaching change might have saved his career. I don't know what the deal is at the Center. The sections behind the benches in the lower bowl have been real empty the last few games giving the impression that the place is empty. I don't know if those seats are owned by large groups or just season ticket holders with big $$ who go when they please. Either way it looks bad because the rest of the Center was relatively full. Far from packed but much more than it appeared on TV. The sections behind the goals were full as well as the sections opposite the benches. When I came home and watched the highlights I thought the same thing; it looked empty. Large turnout of Sabres fans. Good, it'll open up more room for somebody else. He handled it fine two years ago. As long as you understood it, that's all that matters to me. :flirt:

We'll never be a winner until every player on this team is 6'4" 230#.
-
Just saw the replay of it, I must concur!
-
Just got back from the Center, is it too late to gloat about Gerbe's 2 goals?
-
Now that's funny.
-
They 'would say' because they 'have said'. Enjoy the game.

The last two weeks? Because Gerbe had back issues long before he had surgery. Before then he was productive. When he came back Lindy never gave him the opportunity to score again because he was always on the 4th line. The last couple of weeks are the first chance he's gotten. This has nothing to do with wish-casting anybody. It simply amazes me the obsession some of you have to completely trash him when he is the least of the teams worries. All of you with Paul Hamilton syndrome are no different. Enroth could start tonight and lose 1-0 and you people would be on here trashing Gerbe and Hecht for not scoring while blasting Enroth for not getting a shutout. And turn around and blame the defense on Saturday after a 6-5 loss and Miller in net. With a 'Miller kept them in it' somewhere thrown in. You're right, I wasn't using your logic............. you have yet to use any logic in this thread.
-
I was simply using your logic, that's why I brought them into it. Gerbe went into a slump when he got hurt and just got back from major spinal surgery. And these last two weeks are the first chances he's had to get a chance. You gonna base the guys current qualifications on the last two weeks?
-
Nice stats, I couldn't find those, thanks. And no I don't overlook that. My point was they've had problems scoring whether Hecht in on the line or not.
-
Yup. Everybody was waiting for them to gel at the start of the season. The first line carried the team so it wasn't a big issue then. We all knew secondary scoring was an issue and if they didn't wake up they weren't going to win games. And............... here we are.
