  1. Makes me wonder if that's why he's been playing so well lately.
  2. Got tagged in the hip by a slapshot from Ehrhoff.
  3. Leino's looked very good since he came back.
  4. At least I admit it up front, haha. I've always been a big fan of playing the hot goaltender, whether it be Miller or Enroth. Enroth should be in net Thursday.
  5. I thought you had me on ignore?
  6. Oh boy, now I have something to bitch about when Rolston starts Miller next game and they lose.
  7. He's a sophomore, tied for 20th in goals on one of the worst offensive teams in the league. Are you honestly going to say he's a 3rd line center who isn't worthy of anything more because of his defensive mistakes? wow.......... Scraping barrels are in high demand around here. I'll have whatever he's having.
  8. Why did Waldo delete his posts?
  9. Let me guess, you're the same person who blames Hecht, Enroth and Gerbe for this terrible year while giving guys like P-Ville, Miller and Stafford passes. I've got news for ya, most teams top scoring lines aren't very effective defensively.
  10. Hmmmmm.......... Buffalo Sabres ‏@BuffaloSabres 1h .@MichaKolb The Sabres are 11-2-2 all-time on March 19. They’ve won their last 3 games on this date, scoring at least 7 goals each time.
  11. Amirite........... is that similar to anthracite?
  12. You're not the only one who reads ESPN. http://espn.go.com/nhl/story/_/id/9068213/san-jose-sharks-star-logan-couture
  13. We've got forwards, but they need offense.
  14. Now they can get a group hug from P-Ville and sit around and laugh about it over some milk and cookies.
  15. I'll give credit where credit is due. He gave a fair opinion of the situation. That sounded more like the Hamilton of old. I'm not either.
  16. Paul is going to be grasping extra hard when WGR has him on here shortly. Perhaps you just give him too much credit. Numbers don't lie. #2 in GAA and save % in 09-10 yet his overall average is 15th in the last 8 years. That's not significantly closer and it's not coincidence it happened the same year he stepped it up for the Olympics. The ones who argue the point are the first people to throw Enroth under the bus when he has similar stats.
  17. Most goaltenders can play 60+ games. In fact there are routinely 20+ goaltenders with 50+ games every year. The teams that don't have a goaltender with 55+ starts are the ones without a legitimate starting goaltender. I'm not rejecting anything based on my opinion. I'm not expecting anybody to best their career highs every single year. However, Miller has been far from it outside of his Silver/Vezina year. He is treated and paid to be an elite goaltender. 7 of 8 years he has been far from elite.
  18. You can disect overall numbers all you want. But the fact remains a team and a goaltender aren't judged by 5 on 5 numbers. Or how good they were on Wednesday games starting at 7:30 in the month of March. They're judged by overall numbers. The fact still remains that he's had one good year. Was the team that much different that year? No. That is a lack of work ethic, and it has spread throughout the entire team like a cancer.
  19. Yeah, you're right. Every other goaltender in the league has a perfect team in front of them. The stats I just posted says it all. If the team sucked so bad in front of Miller, he wouldn't have had one outlier. But he does, and it just happened to be the year he stepped it up for the Olympics. Huh, imagine that.
  20. Not exactly Earth shattering stats. Save % 05-06 #9 06-07 #15 07-08 #29 08-09 #8 09-10 #2 10-11 #17 11-12 #19 12-13 #25 GAA 05-06 #11 06-07 #20 07-08 #24 08-09 #18 09-10 #2 10-11 #21 11-12 #23 12-13 #38
  21. Those stats are meaningless, they're comparing Miller to the league average. I'm sure a $6mil+ goaltender will look good when you compare him to 'average'. Brad Boyes scored 8 goals last year, I'm sure that's above league 'average' as well. With the exception of one year, Miller has been below top 5 in save% and GAA every single year. Most of those years well below top 5, many below top 15. His attitude sucks, he can't be good in the locker room. His work ethic sucks. It was apparent during is Silver/Vezina year. He put himself on a different level. He's made little effort to get himself back there ever since. Not to mention the years leading up to it as well.
  22. Which supports my point of the post I responded to. If we got something suitable in return for for Miller, his presence in net wouldn't be missed.
  23. This team has only gotten worse after getting rid of Connolly, Roy and Gaustad. Do you see anybody saying they should be back?
