  1. 5 on 5 Hecht had a damn good game. He was up against Stamkos/St. Louis for most of the game and for the most part they were invisible outside of the PP. Hecht isn't here to score, he has a role and he played it pretty damn good tonight. Hecht is near the bottom of this team's problems right now. That was a good interview. I'd rather hear him say he has no answer because the players have no answer than hear Lindy say 'It was a tough game, tough breaks, tough calls. tough loss". Then you have Koziol whining about what he said. Brian, WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT HIM TO SAY? Do you want him to sugarcoat it? Hell, there's only so much a coach can do. When the players don't give a damn what happens, I probably wouldn't have any answers either. I'm glad Ron said he has no answers if the players have none. Good for him, throw the whole team under the bus. It's the first real sincere thing he's said since he got here. Free shipping?
  2. Yeah, we get it. You hate Hecht. As much of a trainwreck as this team is you're going to focus on Hecht's poor offensive abilities? Let's bitch about Hodgson's defensive abilities while we're at it. That was brought up too. Hecht did his job, Hodgson does his job. Of all things to find to criticize about this team, these two things are ones of least importance. It's not Hecht's fault he played all those minutes.
  3. That might have been one of the most pathetic, uninspiring games I have ever seen.
  4. Sabres vs. North East 8-4-2 Sabres vs. rest of Conf 5-11-2
  5. Ronnie's a smart guy. He knows the Sabres blow 2 goal leads and comeback from 2 goal deficits. This was all planned out. He's letting a questionable goalie sit back with nothing to do and BAM, the Sabres will knock out 20 shots this period. He won't know what hit him!
  6. Watching the Panthers over the last several games, if this Sabres team shows up Thursday , Florida will embarass them.
  7. Well, good thing he's not a defenseman.
  8. My point really had nothing to do with Gerbe, or Ennis for that matter.
  9. I don't think you know what you want because you're all over the map. You are the resident contrarian.
  10. You two should really meet up.
  11. You two should really meet up.
  12. Imagine how much more they would suck if Darcy traded everybody who was good like TrueBlue wants. I shouldn't have mentioned the FOX News thing. I'm just not a big fan of people who try to sound intelligent by relying on hindsight, and then choose whichever side fits their narrative. Oh, and I was one of the people who said Darcy should have traded Miller after his Silver/Vezina year because I knew he would be a one hit wonder. See, I can play that game too.
  13. Or Ennis................ Every time he makes a defensive mistake it's because he is too small.
  14. So St. Louis is on the market? Too bad he's too small to play in the NHL.
  15. So Darcy gets chastised for not making moves to improve the team. Then Darcy gets chastised for not trading for draft picks to plan for the future. Now Darcy gets chastised for not trading players who are/were putting out and playing up to their potential? Wow, you've got all basis covered don't you? Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Do you work for FOX News?
  16. Let's see, he had a career year 2 years ago and amidst speculation that he had serious personal issues last year he still went on a tear to almost get us into the playoffs. Now why would anybody at that point trade him? You know what they say about hindsight...........
  17. If he were on that pace chances are he wouldn't be on the trading block. If he were on that pace chances are we wouldn't be on the outside looking in.
  18. Bruised ego?
  19. It pains me to listen to those two. You would think people in their positions would be required to have some sort of advanced knowledge of sports, alas they are barely at the level of a casual fan. I don't listen to them any more except for pre-game sometimes, it's bad enough they do that. I once had respect for Koziol and Hamilton, even those two have started to head down that road. WGR is taking a slight turn for the worse lately. It really is a shame what television and radio have become in the last few years.
  20. I've been through the same reasoning with you so I'll keep it shorter.
  21. Do we have odds on the first poster hoping for a loss?
  22. It's got something to do with keeping teams from trying to win a race on fuel mileage by skipping a pit stop. The sanctions have been manipulating the rules and car setups more than usual over the last 5-10 years and it's gotten blatantly obvious to most fans. That's part of why NASCAR has lost a lot of it's fan base. NHRA has gone the same way. You talk to die hard drag racers and most will tell you they can't watch the pros any more.
  23. Most racing in general has gone to hell, circle track, road course and drag; there are several reasons. One of them is the rise of multi-car teams.
