  1. The team's personality has been the weakness for years now. Miller isn't cocky, he's a crybaby. He has an excuse for everything, and if he doesn't then management will come up with something for him.
  2. He's had one great season and two good seasons. Perhaps he's been subpar for 5 of the last 8. You're correct, they absolutely can. That's why a team shouldn't put all their eggs in one basket (net). Do you think if Darcy had an extra $6 mil to spend during the offseason at the expense of being without Miller that the Sabres could have made the playoffs with a stud center? Haha, some good points. I like many of the comments Miller makes, he's often spot on. I like an athlete that is open and honest. I just wish he'd accept responsibility more often.
  3. Fair enough. I don't claim to think I know what goes on in the locker room, I just base it off of what I am able to see. He might be a great guy in the locker room, it doesn't negate the fact that he routinely throws his teammates under the bus. Up until Pegula made his comments about goaltending after the Pittsburgh games last year, Miller never accepted blame. On the other side of things, his teammates might claim he is a great guy but I find it hard to believe that anybody is going to come out and tell the media 'Yeah, this guy is a jerk I can't stand him'. It's safe to say you and I can only speculate. ;)
  4. People need to understand that superstar goaltenders are no longer a part of hockey. The game has changed tremendously, most goals are now scored by deflections, screens, scrums, etc. Yes a good goaltender is still important but there is no such thing as a bonafide superstar goaltender any more. How is Miller, Quick, Rinne, Luongo, Price all doing in terms of stats this year? They're all behind a bunch of 'no name' goaltenders. Next year it'll all be mixed up again. There is no reason to be spending $6 mil/yr on a goaltender any more. And there certainly is no reason to be doing so with one that has a terrible attitude. And I don't think the entire core needs to be jettisoned either, I just said I don't know why some people think Miller should be immune to it.
  5. He has been subpar for 7 of the last 8 years. Has nothing to do with 'what have you done for me lately'. :flirt:
  6. Every goaltender who plays 50+ games, needed to play 50+ games at one point to show he could do it. He played 26 games last year (not sure how many were starts offhand) and despite is record, his save percentage was surprisignly high, higher than Miller's. Eliminating his attitude is a positive regardless of his stats.
  7. He usually saves that for the post game interview.
  8. Miller is part of the 'core' that everybody said needed to be eliminated if this team is to go anywhere. I don't understand why some people seem to think he should be immune.
  9. Since the BFLO media has turned into an absolute joke the last couple of years, I can't blame Rolston for seeming 'careless'. I don't think he is careless, but the second he says one thing that can make headlines or can be taken out of context, all the trolls will run to social media so they can spin the drama machine and get some Twitter action. If I were Rolston I'd be reluctant to so anything substantial too. If the BFLO media were a little more professional, Rolston might be more willing to open up.........good for Rolston for putting Harrington in his place. Seriously........... why doesn't my spell check work on here?
  10. Hey, let's look at the bright spots. The Sabres are moving up. After 45 games: 2011-12: 43 points 2012-13: 44 points
  11. I like Brugal. Very easy to get down here.
  12. Yeah baby!! Way to stick it to Harrington, Ron!
  13. Classy............. John Vogl ‏@BuffNewsVogl 1m Sabres' Ryan Miller on waving to fans: "If they can dish it out they can take it."
  14. Uh oh............... cue Angry Eleven.
  15. Who's making ###### up?
  16. Well, there goes Miller's loss.
  17. The Rangers MSG crew is pretty decent. Better than most.
  18. I'm not sure I can handle that. On a side note, I was really surprised to hear Hamilton criticizing Miller during that 2nd intermission saying he's not sure Miller's mental tougness is what the Sabres want to take them to the next level.
  19. It's one thing to bring in an off topic discussion, but come on, that's pretty big news........ I think it's an exception.
  20. Koziol just can't bring himself to say anything bad about Miller. The fans were at fault for the 3rd goal? Brian? Really?
  21. Same here! :wallbash: I hate AT&T for it. What pisses me off is it was a last minute change. That's wrong. If I had known I would have made plans to go to a bar to watch.
  22. Weber and Ruhwedel both a +1
