I know that's what you said, hence the reason I mentioned the Islanders. At least fans go to watch the Panthers. Brooklyn, same difference. Same general area.
-
Might want to consider Tampa and the Islanders. Much worse market So the Islanders should be moved. Or Tampa.
-
Why the Panthers?
-
Now that's funny!
-
I wasn't aware they were announcing the winners tonight.

That logic would hold water if I wasn't actually defending Darcy. I'd have to be complaining about somebody in the Sabres organization for there to be a double standard. Might wanna get with the person who brought Darcy up in the first place. ;)

Point taken.

Who says breaking up needs to be a downer? :flirt:

Yeah, this should be the year everybody settles in after a couple of moves are made. What was unbelievable was when Tallon took over, he spent the next year evaluating. The next year the opening day roster had 3 players left from the previous year. He wiped the slate clean! We'll see what happens. Can't wait to see how these new guys turn out.

This past season for the Panthers was expected. This was the year Tallon was bringing up most of his 1st and 2nd round picks from the last three years. Eight different players played their first NHL game this year. The reason they finished last is because of lots of rookie mistakes, but their talent was evident. But, the biggest reason was their top scoring line missed a total of 70 games. So not only did they not have any top line scoring, they had many rookies learning the ropes. Not to mention they were 4th in the league in man-games lost. 9 players drafted in the top two rounds in the 2010 and 2011 draft, all Tallon has to do now is make a couple of moves to fill in a couple of holes with proven vets. I bet he trades the #2 pick. What Tallon has done with his rebuild is nothing short of remarkable. It makes what Darcy is doing look like childs play. ;)

Yes, I did. You even highlighted in bold print. And since when has anybody ever trusted Darcy? Ever stop to think he gave the impression of a worst case scenario so anthing shorter than that would be a boost for Sabre fans? This sure seems to me like you've already made up your mind. Do you follow the Panthers? Do you have any idea what Tallon has done over the last 4 years? I'd love to have this conversation.

Haha, I'm not dwelling on anything. My point is that was the first significant playoff game he's had since the 09-10 playoffs. Of course we can go back to 2008 when he was great in the playoffs, just as quickly as we can go back to 2010 when Stafford scored 31 goals in 62 games. If you read my posts, I'm generally one of the more optimistic people on this board. Seguin scored 3 goals in his first 2 playoff games. He's scored 4 in his last 34. Is he still as good as his first two games? :P
-
09-10 4 goals in the last 14 games 10-11 1 goal in 7 games 11-12 0 goals in 6 games 12-13 2 goals in 15 games prior to game 4. Sorry, 7 goals in 42 playoff games, not 6. http://espn.go.com/nhl/player/stats/_/id/3735/seasontype/3/patrick-kane Go to game log for more detailed stats.

I said he got the ball rolling. No where did I say you build a team ONLY with draft picks. How you can even think about coming to a conclusion on Grig already is beyond me. The Canadiens did it in one year. The Panthers did it in 4 with a COMPLETE top to bottom, wipe the slate clean, rebuild. Darcy is already over a year into what would be considered a rebuild (whether it was called that at the time or not), it will not take 3-5 years.
-
Um, they're still kids. They were all drafted in the 1st round for a reason. How many teams have three 1st round centers? And all this is besides my point.

Look at save percentage. Crawford is .935, Vokoun is .933. I'd hardly consider that a helluva lot better. Vokoun faced tougher shots, Crawford wasn't exactly under fire against Minnesota and LA. Look at the career numbers, Vokoun has one of the best save percentages and does it year after year, all while spending most of his career on crappy teams. I'd take Vokoun in a heartbeat over Crawford. Wasn't it not too long ago Sabres fans were talking about trading Miller to the Hawks because Crawford wasn't good enough?
-
If there's cap space available, and there will be, I say shop for FA's if they can be convinced to come here. There is no reason a rebuild means we need to be in the bottom of the league, or take 3-5 years to do it. I don't know why people are so convinced this is going to take so long. Darcy already got started by picking up three young centers. The ball has already been rolling.
-
No he's not. I think Crawford is going to get lit up this series.
-
Not true, the Sabers could win the Cup and this board would still find something to bitch about. :P Oh boy, another Darcy sucks hijack. That never gets repetitive. :wallbash:
-
Haha, take that study for what it's worth. I've noticed there is some truth to it Chz broke up with her boyfriend, they must have been too close in age.
-
So now all of a sudden Kane is a hero because he scored a hat trick last night. I guess the fact he scored 6 goals in a span of 42 playoff games prior to game 4 eludes most people. But Darcy sucks because he hasn't traded for him.

That's pretty close! Comics don't count as a legitimate source? haha Do a search for the Fiancee Formula. ;)
