  1. Thanks, you're right. I guess we'll have to keep waiting. Maybe they'll put up 8 against the Sharks.
  2. Seems to me Myers is playing with a bit of cockiness. I like his attitude. He was slapping Marchand around and he didn't look like he was scared about doing something worng. When he scored that goal, he had that look on his face like 'Yeah that's right, I scored. This is how it's supposed to be'.
  3. If Edmonton stays on the track they're on now, BFLO would have to finish 10-10-3 in order to just finish 2nd last. I just don't see it happening when you consider the Sabres are 6-17-3 on the road and 15 of the last 22 games are away from home.
  4. John Scott might be a 3rd liner by then.
  5. I like Dave Strader more than Doc Emrick. Emrick's good, but he gets really old, really quick. Not the kind of voice I can tolerate for a long time. He wore me out during the Olympics. Glad Strader got this game.
  6. That would be ideal, although letting him go as a rental and teasing him with success might decrease the chances of him wanting to come back haha.
  7. If the Sabres can manage to score two more goals, they'll reach the elusive 2.00 GPG average and lift themselves out of a level of offensive futility in the last 55 years that includes only the 1997-98 Tampa Bay Lightning.
  8. Miller doesn't make that save.
  9. What Myers did was straight out of Chara's playbook. Not so great when the shoe's on the other foot, you bunch of babies!
  10. I really need to learn to proofread when I'm in a hurry.
  11. I don't like the way Koziol tends to throw some players under the bus. Actually it's not so much throwing players under the bus as much as some of his double standards. He'll routinely criticize his whipping boys and turn right around and disagree with callers when they use the same standard against one of Koziol's favorites. He has his opinions about the team, the management and the players. That's fine, nobody agrees on everything. But he does act in a professional manner and interacts with fans even if it is off the air. The reason I don't like him and Hamilton as a pair is because Koziol kisses his ass to no end. Hamilton on the other hand I have no respect for. Over the last couple of years he has taken the shock route of Sullivan and Harrington. Although not quite to their extent, it is much more than it used to be. As the guy that interacts with the players personally every single day he sure does have a knack of stabbing them in the back when on the air. Back in the day when the few reporters that had access to accompanying the players all over, they were friends and treated them with respect. If anybody often wonders why some players aren't as candid with Hamilton, it might have something to do with the way he treats them. I wouldn't tell him anything either if he scolded me like a dad after a bad game. I hope that answers your questions, sorry if I misinterpreted your post. ;)
  12. Of course this is assuming Snow still has the job when it comes time to make this decision.
  13. Really? If I've criticized Hamilton or Koziol in seven GDT's over the last two years it's a lot. And that wasn't even a bitch, it was a sarcastic jab at Koziol because he is Miller's biggest cheerleader. For the most part I like Koziol. He's read a couple of my Tweets on the air and he replies with his own opinon to Emails that he doesn't read on the air. I like that, says a lot about his efforts to interact with fans. Although I do find it interesting that of all the incessant, monotonous, broken record talking points that some people are relentless about, that you need to call me out for being repetitive. Hamilton offers his commentray after every single game. It's meant to be criticized or complimented. I don't address him often any more, if you don't like that I bring him up I suggest you ignore my posts. For the record, if the Sabres have a bad game and/or some of Hamilton's typical whipping boys didn't play well, I do turn off the post-game before he gets on.
  14. They need to put that money into tanks we have no use for.
  15. And since 2009 Fleury has been a complete failure leading to arguably the most talented team in the league to not even make the Cup finals the last four years, much less win it. Osgood has 400+ wins because he played til almost 40 and on probably one of the best strings of success any team has put together in NHL history. You can't judge a goaltender by wins, his stats were way below average, in fact his BEST save percentage in a season ranks 261st in NHL history. And that's only going back 30 years. He was consistently in the bottom half of the league every year in save percentage. Teams that build around goaltenders haven't nexessarily been the most successful. The best goaltender can go into a funk at any time, if it happens to be in the playoffs, you're screwed. Khabibulin Gerber/Ward Giguere/Bryzgalov Fluery Niemi Crawford Doesn't quite look like a Hall of Fame nomination list of goaltender there. Yet they're all got Cup rings in the last 10 years. Hell, Tampa almost got to the Finals in 2011 riding the back of a 42 year old goaltender.
  16. That still doesn't negate the fact that those teams aren't built around a goaltender. Osgood was just there, consistent and good enough to win. The Pens certainly aren't built around Fleury whether they used a 1st round pick on him or not.
  17. Are they going to have to put Koziol on suicide watch when Miller gets traded?
  18. Ugh, where's Doug Allen when you need him?
  19. Nope, we're screwed. Time for SabreSpace to step up and keep us informed!
  20. I really need to switch back to Direct TV. Between NHL Network and AlJazeera which would probably make up about 1/3 of my TV viewing, I'm paying well over $200+/month and I can't get either.
