Drawing a conclusion of a rookie QB based on half a season...................... now that's funny.
-
I'm just saying, it's pre-season. Nothing can, or should be taken by what you see on the field in pre-season. The Bills have had a couple of dominant pre-seasons and the regualr season turned out to be garbage. I don't think there's any cause for concern about EJ. He's barely played half a season, QB's aren't built overnight. If fans are expecting a QB to come in and be a difference maker right out of college, they're in for a disappointment. Half the reason there aren't as many dominant QB's as there used to be is because teams are looking for instant gratification. Many a talent has been lost because of impatience. My love of football has been waning significantly over the last couple of years. This is about as much effort as I've put in about the Bills in quite a while. Soon as Sabres camp starts I'll probably forget the Bills are even playing.
-
You guys do realize that EJ hasn't even played 10 full games in his career, right? You do realize most good QB's aren't ###### for the first couple of years, right? You do realize this is pre-season, right?

The league I ran last year had 16. Man, there was nobody left to pick from, the waiver wire was pretty much useless.
-
That'll work.
-
Don't let me keep you from changing it if you think that time is better. I'm sure my spot could be filled.

I'm running an ESPN fantasy league, our draft is that night. Although, I like having it after the weekend that way nobody drafts somebody that might get hurt the last preseason game.

I'm in. :flirt:

Between 2005-06 and 2010-11 he put up 250 points in 302 games. I don't think there was any Sabre that put up that kind of point-per-game production in that span. Problem was, he only played 302 games. You're right, he was not a leader and Darcy's inability to bring in a complimentary center put all the weight on Connolly's shoulders. Considering most (including himself) probably figured his career was over after 2003, those are some damn good numbers nonetheless. I just don't think he belongs on the list. I agree though, he wasn't the kind of player to take charge when needed.
-
I agree, Connolly doesn't belong on that list. 2008-09 he led the team in points per game, the following year had he not missed nine games he could have ended up leading the team in points. Considering his concussion history I thought he was pretty damn good. Now, if we did a poll on who is/was the biggest whipping boy in Sabres history he would be #1 by a large margin. I never understood the relentless criticism for the guy. (I wish I knew why spell check doesn't work on this forum using Firefox)

Interesting, here's the map for your link. Then I came across this the other day. Map & link. And the difference isn't in the scale either, look at the Pacific Northwest. http://blogs.marketw...ity-in-america/

No more Lady Panthers. :( http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/sfl-florida-panthers-drop-cheerleaders-20140723,0,5598225.story

Good point, and they've had 230+ combined years to accomplish that.
-
That's a really great question, I'm glad you brought it up.

San Diego has two teams, their NFL team came into the league the same time as the Bills. BUT, their baseball team started one year before the Sabres. Now, BFLO is 0 for 6 while San Diego is 0 for 3. The questions is, is BFLO worse since they've had twice as many chances? Or, are they better because they've been to twice as many? Hmmmm......
-
I'm finding myself to be less and less interested in football with each passing year; and it's not just because of the Bills.
-
Otherwise, would they have gotten the impression fans want to lose? :P Thank you.

Nobody is denying we will get an elite prospect(s). I would also argue that more years than not since the last lockout the Sabres have been better than barely watchable. Maybe your point will need to be repeated, it's no different than anybody else repeating their opinion in rebuttal. Hell, we're still talking about how much Darcy sucks. As has been pointed out to me, it's the off-season. Get over it. ;)
-
There is one difference. Tanking makes the team unwatchable for multiple years. (OK, I still watch). When it can fail just as easily as building through trades and free agency. While some may welcome and embrace being the laughing stock for 2-4 years, some of us enjoy to see a competitive team year after year. Yes, I enjoyed the stretch run the Sabres made when Pegula came aboard and I enjoyed the fact that they tried to improve the core the already had. I'd be willing to bet that several on here that claim to embrace the tank also supported the effort to build that team with a blank check. There is way too much risk involved in spending several years destroying an entire team in hopes it will become a Cup contender. I keep hearing this "If you'd rather watch a playoff bubble team..........." as an argument in support of a tank like tanking is the only way to become a contender. The Sabres just happened to be a playoff bubble team, there weren't a playoff bubble team because they didn't tank. It's simply not logical. We're not going to get McDavid, this forum needs to accept that and move on. Murray has done a decent job of putting together a team that might be halfway fun to watch this season. I think he knows that it's probably a bad decision to plan on McDavid and is concentrating on just having three 1st round picks, like Eleven pointed out earlier.

They've never had it with the right salami then.
-
Technically, San Diego could be worse than Buffalo because our NFL teams are equivalent but their baseball team was established one year earlier than the Sabres. Salt Lake City.

Didn't see it mentioned here yet, Kulikov signed a 3yr/$13mil deal with the Panthers today. Tallon said he's got a surplus of D-men and a couple of them will be dealt.

Oops, thanks. Yeah I meant the note. But, I have the Tab...... I got that part right haha. Not sure how important the 10" is to you, but I see the 8" Note is on sale for $330. As far as cycling, I don't know about the Samsung. I do know they come with the latest processors and 4.4 operating system while many of the other tablets are behind. That was a selling point to me because I got the impression they were going to stick with the current model for a while.

I just got a Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 last week. Love it! It's on sale for $400 so it might be a little over your budget. I do know the Tab version with the S-pen adds about $100 to the price. But for note-taking the Tab might be best for you, as has been mentioned. If you can't go above $300 and the S-pen isn't a must, I was impressed with the Asus MeMO Pad FD 10. Edit: For some reason I missed your last post. If writing on screen is a must you're going to be limited in choices. The Tab is one of your only choices, but I think HP makes some tablets equipped with a stylus.

Sabres sign Ruhwedel to 2-year $1.3 Mill deal

I remember hearing he was in pretty high demand throughout the league when he came out of college as a free agent. Did the rest of the league think he had a higher ceiling?
