  1. McBain released from his tryout with Glendale. http://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/590077
  2. Yes, I would sign him for 5/25. Of course that is assuming he continues his play from the 2nd half of the season last year and he continues his desire to be the/a team leader moving forward. The Sabres won't have any monumental contracts to deal with in the next few years, they can afford it. I think it's important to have a few veterans, keeping a players that's been with the team is a plus.
  3. Like I said, if he's as gung ho about moving forward as a leader on this team as he says he is, he won't be holding out to find that $6mil/yr contract. He'll sign a worthy contract before the deadline. I don't think Murray is going to want to wait until the end of the season to prepare for the draft. He'll want to be ready as soon as possible. This all depends on how much Stafford wants to stay, how early Murray is willing to deal, and how well he's playing at the time. If he stands firm on 5yr/$30mil, I agree with you, I say trade him. But, that's not going to happen.
  4. Using your scenario, I would trade him before the deadline. But.......... it's highly unlikely that will happen. Even Stafford knows he'll never get that kind of contract from anybody. I would think if contract talks started around the midpoint of the season that Stafford would be open about what he expects in order for Murray to make the right move; to make the necessary move to benefit both parties. I can't see Stafford being the kind of guy to say 'I'm going to wait until after the season to explore my options'. If he's serious about being a leader going forward, and wants to stay in BFLO like he's said.......... I can see a contact getting done before the trade deadline.
  5. I'd like to keep both (assuming they have a season showing their worthy of keeping). Would be nice to have some veterans going forward and the cap won't be an issue. Stewart is everything Murray wants, quick, big and can score........ Staff seemed to be a completely new player when Nolan came in. He seems to actually want to stay and be a leader moving forward. I say keep them both.
  6. Yeah, because we don't have enough of those.
  7. Dude, put the phone away and enjoy the game. I leave mine in my truck.
  8. For another fantasy league............. Calvin Johnson Andre Johnson DeAndre Hopkins Eddie Royal I need two WR's and a Flex. Which three do I use? (Sammy Watkins is also available, not sure I'd take him over those four at this point)
  9. This might be off-topic, but have there been any updates on RJ?
  10. Sabres to play 1,000 games or more................ Two of the guys shared the same last name. Bulldog couldn't get it?!?@@?@#
  11. Are you saying we don't matter? :P
  12. Can't say I disagree with that either.
  13. How much longer before they finally close the book on this Spiller experiment? He has one god run a game, it's a shame they had to ruin it with a holding call. If you take away his one long run per game I would bet his per carry average is below 3.
  14. I'm in two leagues, the other ESPN. I'm starting to notice that ESPN's projections are much, much more realistic than NFL.com.
  15. If you guys want some expert advice, feel free to message me. It might cost you though.
  16. Cool. Just wanted to know who I'm going to beat this weekend. Projected score 74-74?
  17. Ouch, that's gonna leave a mark. Who is Waratahs?
  18. So glad I switched to Ravens D at the last minute. B-)
  19. Vancouver?
  20. RGIII is the highest projected total of all players in the NFL for week 2? http://fantasy.nfl.c...Type%3D,replace ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Am I missing something? On the ESPN leagues there is always a P,Q,D or O next to each players name pretty much everywhere you look, indicating the injury status. In this league the only place I can find anything is by clicking on the player and read his news. Can we please, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE get rid of post merging????!!!@#$@#$@#$ Note the irony that the suggestion box is locked closed.
  21. How did you do that?
  22. I had to force stop it twice before it finally started working. Even then it was slow as hell. Martin's inury didn't help. Didn't see it, not sure how long he'll be out. Apparently he came back so it ain't that bad.
  23. What are you looking for? Shopping? Clubs? Bars? Beaches?
  24. I didn't say drugs caused the personality, I said it accentuates the personailty. The type of personailty that Williams had, cocaine is fuel for the fire. Although, I think in some cases drugs do create a whole new personality especially with musicians. Mescaline, LSD, heroine............. usually puts people into a completely different state. But that's getting way off topic. You get the point. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------(damn you merged posts) Here's a good example. When Williams sobered up and did Good Will Hunting, he played a much more mellow, serious role. Not saying that was indicative of how he was in his daily life around that time, but I don't think he could have played that type of role in the 70's when he was all coked up. Granted his stand-up differs from big screen acting. Does anybody think he could have gone blowing the roofs off of comedy clubs the way he did had he been more mellow? We'll never know. But that is what brought me to my original point. Cocaine may or may not have helped kickstart his career, but it sure as hell didn't hurt.
