Sure buddy, that's it.

Nowhere was I talking , I came in, provided numbers to back up my viewpoint........... just because it doesn't fall in line with yours, doesn't mean I'm talking . This group doesn't like it when somebody doesn't fall in line with the majority.
-
If you don't like it, put me on ignore. It's that simple.
-
And you wonder why new people rarely sign up for this board. It's so inviting. I don't know why I bother coming back.
-
You guys take this way too seriously. I feel bad for you, with Lehner gone, you're going to have to find another whipping boy to gang up on.
-
Lehner has a career save percentage of .915. He's not nearly as bad as you all want him to be. He finished in the top 10 in 2016-17.
-
We're just going to have to agree to disagree. B-) If Botterill can prove me wrong by trading for a true #1, then great. I'd love to be proven wrong.

I'm not denying the Sabres plans. I just don't like going into a new season with 'ifs'. Ullmark is an 'if'. Nobody knows if he can handle the job, he choked down the stretch down in Rochester. Chad will leave so that leaves the Sabres with no backup. As we saw last year, many team lost their starting goaltender for some time. Having a quit backup is key, and when your starter isn't even proven yet, that leaves a major hole in the lineup. Lehner wasn't Vezina quality, but he held his own considering the putrid defense he had playing in front of him. Him and Nilsson managed to be a top half save percentage duo the year before. At this point, he is a better option than Ullmark, in my opinion. Ullmark has had two concussions in two years. If he gets hurt, this team is screwed regardless of who they pick up in free agency. There is nobody available that I would put my future on. Sorry, that's just the way I see it. Until you get a proven starter in the lineup, with a competent 3rd stringer in the minors, you don't go getting rid of your starter.
-
Who are they going to sign, Cam Ward? Certainly a better option than Ullmark or Johnson at this point.
-
Did the Sabres sign a proven starter and I missed it?
-
OK

Who?

He was 1-8 in his tenure with the Sabres. Let's assume he's a decent SO goalie and that record is 5-4. He's lost a total of 4 points in three years. You and I disagree. Those four points aren't worth putting all your eggs in the Ullmark basket with no quality backup in sight. Borderline playoff team? If Ullmark doesn't pan out this won't be a borderline playoff team. If Ullmark gets hurt, this won't be a borderline playoff team. I just think you don't go making a move like this unless you have proven talent to replace them him with. That goes for starter and backup, and preferably your 3rd stringer. If you go to ESPN, Chad Johnson is 2nd last in save percentage last year. Is that supposed to be our backup? Very risky move.
-
He had two SO losses last year ( 2 lost points). Chad Johnson went 12 games without a win, and Ullmark is unproven. Is this really about two points?
-
That's great news, because the Sabres have too many proven starters as it is.

Not everybody in the league is going to be a speed skater. Some players actually offer other talents besides speed. O'Reilly's game isn't based on speed, he excels elsewhere. If your game is based on speed and you slow over time, then there's a problem.
-
LOL! I never saw that post.
-
Trading O'Reilly would be a ridiculous move. That is all.

Anybody in the wester NC/eastern TN/northern GA/northwestern SC area?

Not really sure we can get 10 people to go see a Nashville game. My best bet would be 3-4 people. I've got a friend in Nashville that might be able to hook us up. I'm open for either city. If we can get a few people who are serious, I'll look into each city when the schedule comes out. I wasn't entirely serious when I first mentioned this, but now it sounds like a cool idea and I'm willing to chip in and get a group of tickets. -
Not really "American crap"............. it's just nice to see great acting from actors we're not used to seeing. I'm over seeing guys like Tom Hanks, Will Ferrell, Jack Black, etc.......

I'm up for either one. Nashville would be more fun, better atmosphere, better pre-game and post-game entertainment. But, like GA said, it would be difficult to get a block of tickets. Just putting it out there as a possibility for the upcoming season. -
On Netflix. Cillian Murphy deserves an Emmy and Paul Anderson a best supporting actor. This series gets overlooked because there aren't any big names involved. Better acting than any American crap you'll see.........

Google maps says it's 3 hours to Atlanta from my house. Either way, I'm out of FL and in the real southeast. So a couple hours isn't that big of a deal. I'm serious when I say us southern folk should meet up and go to a Preds or a Hurricanes game. I'll do the dirty work and get a big AirBNB house. -

Seems like nobody is close to this area. But I'm open to holding a pre game party at an AirBNB in either Charlotte or Nashville if y'all want to meet up.
