What is everybody's infatuation with criticizing Rob Ray and his vocabulary? Seriously, there are so many people everywhere that are professional commentators and journalists that talk like middle schoolers and we're gonna pick on Rob Ray?

Works for me. If they're going to determine the #1 goalie by how they play this year I'd like to see both of them get long strecthes of games to see if they can handle the workload. I do remember seeing Neuvirth getting up rather slow the other night after taking a shot to the collarbone area.

To be fair to Gionta, besides our goaltending and Z, nobody on this team is setting any records. Not sure Gionta's excuse is being washed up, but it seems to be the excuse most people turn to as soon as players hit 29.

I'm curious, what exactly did he say? Because I'm the one that brought up 'adult entertainment' and we both agree about children and adult behavior at a sports game. Neither one of us said it's OK to go to a game and repeatedly throw around the obscenities and be a total distraction. What we did say is we shouldn't have to go to an arena and have to hesitate cheering or jeering in order not to offend a soccer mom who brought her two year old. We're not going to go to a game and swear non-stop. But, in the heat of the game we might let one slip. You know it, you've done it, we've all done it. I don't want to go to a game and have a couple with their faces buried in their cell phones or one with the toddler sneering at me just because I stand up to cheer my team (cleanly). I'm not looking for R-rated entertainment. But I sure as hell am getting sick of the G-rated entertainment. If you have a kid and you sneer at me for simply cheering on my team without doing anything over the line, I'll tell you to take it to Chuck E. Cheese if you don't like it. Now, what is it that he said?

Well this was fun, but apparently some are willing to take this too far............ not to mention labeling those who aren't fond of children as obnoxious, obscene ###### at hockey games whose only goal is to make a fool of themselves.

You said 'some of you guys' in regards to our mention of 'adult entertainment'................ plural. Since I was one of the people (and the first one to mention 'adult entertainment') anybody with a concept of logic would conclude they were part of "you guys". Can you please point out to me where anybody is stating that adults don't need to act like grown men? I've mentioned this several times now.......... I don't think anybody is proposing that we do so.

Not sure what I did specifically to lose it. If calling you out because you told me that my opinion is BS and telling us how stupid we look is disrespectful, then so be it. I thought this was a pretty good discussion with nobody taking it personally. My feelings don't get hurt when somebody tries to belittle me or call me names, just be prepared to get called on it.

With your unsuccessful attempt at belittling us, I'm not sure if you're the child or the adult. Nobody said the kids couldn't go.

It's a two way street. At some point there needs to be respect given to those who want to enjoy a night of adult entertainment. It's fair that you expect some personal control out of fans at the game. But you cannot bring a child and expect to never come across it. I'm sure nobody here is talking about being an obnoxious, vulgar distraction. But I sure as hell ain't sitting on my hands.

It's all good, I'm enjoying the discussion. Need something to talk about with 3 days off in between games.
