I don't think that's too much of a stretch, he's a very underrated defensemen.
-
-
Milbury just said, about Ottawa "Brian Murray has a bad team with a cancerous core." That's offensive, he needs to apologize.
-
That depends if he's buying or not.
-
He didn't return to the locker room in between periods of the Panthers game either.
-
I'm pretty sure he was addressing the double standards that exist in our society when it comes to what is considered offensive.
-
Good points.

That line seems to keep getting lower and lower to the point where people don't even say something intentionally to offend, yet somebody needs to get offended while seeking an apology. 'Offensive' used to be where somebody deliberately came out and intentionally tried to upset somebody with their words. It seems as though it has become popular to be offended by something. It's going to get to the point where I won't be able to wear jeans because somebody is offended by the color blue.

I'm having a hard time understanding your hostility. All I said was I think this country has gotten soft. That really is all that I said, my post was one sentence long. And so far what you took out of it was that I am a some sort of crude, neanderthal, illiterate with a macho narrative. (Your words, not mine) This isn't the only forum that I frequent, I have noticed one consistency though. Whenever somebody doesn't fall in a direct line with the progressive, politically correct agenda that person is usually labeled a right wing, backwoods, hick that watches FOX News 24/7. I wonder if it has anything to do with my reference to NASCAR just moments prior to your post. If there is any narrative right now, it's yours because your responses couldn't be more scripted. In regards to technology, I never implied that you said that because I SAID IT. It was in reference to my point that you, and only you, controls how you feel about a situation. You can blame technology and society in general all you want for changing what people think and to what scale, but all they do is provide the means. I'm not quite sure what other incidents you speak of in terms of "pussification". (It's OK to use a 'p' and not a 'w'........... I won't get offended). I'm certainly not going to bring it up in a thread where it's not part of the topic because THAT would be a narrative. If I brought it up, it was because it was part of my point. If it happens to be more often than you deem acceptable, then don't read my posts. I'm not going to bring it up out of the blue unless there is a reason. And for your information, using creature comforts as the basis for how or when we became 'soft' isn't the same as when we became easily offended and politically correct. Don't like my posts, put me on ignore. It seems you've sparked quite the discussion because you're offended by one single statement I made. And yes, this really is over one statement that I made. This place is full of opinions, if I mentioned that we're getting soft in another thread and it lead to your rant perhaps you should consider that you're not the only one with an opinion; and you've also posted things that can be taken as repetitive.

No, it is my own observation based on life experiences and human interaction. Technology doesn't force you to get emotional about anything, it's entirely up to you how much emotion you want to bring into a situation. Technology has only provided you with more means by which to get emotional about. I'm sorry my post offended you. (Actually, no I'm not). However your attack about 'macho narrative' is predictable, it's usually the road someone like you takes when their feelings get hurt. My observation wasn't directed at one person in particular, but now we know of at least one person it refers to. My statement has meaning, you just choose to ignore it.

I thought he was still in office.

This country is getting soft............. (That probably hurt somebody's feelings)

Either way, the number of penalties has obviously increased this year. The number of rules continues to increase. The age of the officials continues to increase. The quality of officiating continues to decrease. The consistency of officiating continues to disappear. The thug mentality continues to increase. The number of commercials continues to increase. This makes for a ###### product and the quality has gotten worse with every passing year. I used to know the Bills like I do the Sabres. Now, I couldn't name you 5 jersey numbers to go along with the names off the top of my head. I've given up on NHRA for much of these same reasons and also NASCAR. Baseball I gave up on several years ago. The NFL isn't far behind for me. The games have absolutely no flow any more because of the number of penalties and commercials. It seems like lately I just use it as an excuse to go to my local pub to get dinner so I don't have to cook that night. Put all that together with the fact the Bills have now missed the playoffs for 15 straight years, and even this die-hard fan has lost patience.
-
Yes, yes he should. His questionable play calling, poor time management and inability to address the season-long penalty issues (especially the misconduct calls) has most likely cost this team a playoff spot.
-
The Bills would be 4-9 right now if: 1) They hadn't picked up Orton 2) They hadn't traded up to draft a legitimate #1 receiver. Criticize those moves all you want, the fact remains if EJ was still behind center and Watkins wasn't here, we'd all be sitting here talking about a complete rebuild next year with Marone possibly being unemployed at the moment.
-
Right, and if the Bills had one more win right now it would be the best move they've made in 15 years.
-
Hindsight is always convenient after the fact.
-
It was the biggest thing holding them back the last 15 years.
-
Because we haven't had a big time receiver?
-
This sport is getting destroyed by over-officiating. I can't watch this ###### product.
-
I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Bills would be in control of a playoff spot if they had some control over their penalty issues all year.
-
Next year will be different............. Really, it will................
-
Well, the playoff run was fun while it lasted. Good luck to the 4 that make it to the post-season! I'm scheduling tee time with my opponent in the loser bracket.

I remember a fan got killed a while back by getting hit in the head with a puck. I think it's offensive for TSN and ESPN to show hockey highlights every night because somebody died attending a hockey game.

Yup
