  1. He's talking about the relationship and lack of discourse between him, Whaley and the players if they need to text each other about Orton's retirement on the day of the season-ending presser. Basically he's looking to make an issue out of a non-issue (when there is plenty more to discuss right now).
  2. Is Schopp really making an issue about Marrone texting Brandon about Orton? Are you kidding me? I'm going to stomach this for the entertainment factor for a while and then turn him off for the next few months like I usually do.
  3. This team's going nowhere if they plan to rely on Spiller any longer.
  4. The majority of reports had Watkins listed as the best WR available. If the other three were so highly touted, how come they didn't go in the top 5 in the draft? Are Mike Evan's number inflated because there were no #3 and #4 receivers and/or RB's to throw at? I get blasted for not having enough 'context' in my comparisons, seems like this latest discussion is lacking it as well. These coulda/woulda/shoulda arguments never make much sense to me. The draft is a crap-shoot in many aspects. If the Bills hadn't drafted up to get a elite wide receiver all we would have heard all year was that Orton and EJ didn't have anybody to throw to. And there's no proof Evans would have been as good here as he was in Tampa this year.
  5. OK cool, so it's not just me with the errors. Wasn't bad, I think I only had two. I read somewhere the optimal speed for HD quality was 8-10 Mb minimum.
  6. You forgot the complete ignorance of the original point.
  7. I can agree with that.
  8. Fair enough. The comparison was about numbers and QB's making a WR look good. It wasn't about the future, it wasn't about the wins......... it was about whether or not Orton was enough to make Watkins look good. Fine, but I've been talking about numbers. Actual statistical numbers.
  9. I don't think there is one statistical category that Fitz was better at than Orton except for rushing.
  10. Fine, take Jim Kelly out of the equation. Can you point out to me which QB the Bills have had in the last 12 years that can stand up to Orton's 2014 passing stats?
  11. I'm not offended by your viewpoints (you call them truths), I'm over your haughty attitude. If you want to call it misdirecting, be my guest. The reality of it all, I prefer to discuss like an adult, with adults. It's a big reason why I no longer converse with two or three others on this forum. If your condescension forces you to tell people to ignore the snark and only concentrate on the issue then there really is no point in continuing the conversation.
  12. I've tried being civilized with you, no matter how many snide comments you direct my way. I think I'm pretty much done trying. You've repeatedly looked down your nose at me and I really have no use for you. If I put you out by having to look up stats to prove a point, perhaps you should have just moved on.....or better yet not showed up today. It must be an awfully lonely world you live in atop your imaginary pedestal. If you're going to think out loud and tell everybody about all the time you wasted, why did you even bother in the first place?
  13. Orton was in the top 15 in yards/game and also completion percentage, and 18th in TD's (while playing only 12 games) while having the worst running game in team history to work with. Not quite, that would mean a 300 yard game today would be 180 yards in Kelly's day. If you want to compare something other than what I mentioned, please start your own. Don't twist mine.
  14. I wasn't comparing him to the NFL, was I? For as ###### as you are about logic and numbers, why can't you stick to what I was comparing?
  15. So you can show me where Kelly had a better statistical season than Orton. Stick to statistical comparisons because that is the point.
  16. Am I wrong?
  17. I'm sorry you completely overlooked my initial point. Perhaps if you didn't my following post would have made much more sense to you.
  18. 20+ yard receptions: Sammy: 13 Beckham: 14 Keep in mind the Bills had their worst rushing season in history.
  19. Yeah, Chandler had the same yards per reception as Woods........... but OK. Thanks for ignoring the rest of my post, it was kind of relevant to your reply.
  20. Orton had more completion/game this year than Jim Kelly did in any season of his career. Orton's completion percentage was higher than every season Kelly played with the exception of 1991 (by .2%). You can discuss all you want if Orton is a QB to win games but the fact remains he is a QB that put up big numbers. He's a QB a WR loves to have if all they care about is padding their stats. Statistically (in terms of offensive numbers) Orton was better than anything Jim Kelly ever did.
  21. Attention Monday morning quarterbacks, guess what, 11 other teams passed on Beckham. Get over it.................. Hindsight can make anybody a genius.
  22. As opposed to figuratively?
  23. WOOHOO, Spiller in double digit yards........ TO THE GOOD!
  24. I just watched the 1st period, that has to be one of the worst periods I've seen in a long time. I think that team is a lost cause. I'd say that they've mailed it in and are going through the motions, but that would imply they are in motion.
