  1. So how many draft picks do we think Murray can get in the offseason for Ennis, Girgensons, Bogosian and Reinhart? Almost out of draft picks, time to start loading up again.
  2. That sucks. That's one thing I don't like about phones, you can't go back and reload everything from scratch like a computer. Or save an image and re-load that. Once you get that update on a phone, you're stuck.
  3. Rooting voids your warranty. But here's a couple of links. http://gs5.wonderhowto.com/how-to/root-any-samsung-galaxy-s5-variant-even-at-t-verizon-20-seconds-flat-0155617/ http://wccftech.com/root-galaxy-s5-g9005-how-to/ If you're happy with the way it is and not really into messing with your phone, you're probably better off not doing it. If you mess it up there's a slim chance you could make it inoperable. Don't do it just so you don't get update notifications.
  4. If AIRAVE uses my broadband for calls and texts, why does it have an antenna used to connect to a tower?
  5. This is the first phone I rooted. I'm not 100% familiar with it yet, but I don't think you get any more factory updates if it's rooted. I believe you can manually do an update by using Samsung Kies 3 after you've rooted. Or you can install any of the latest ROM's that are released after a major update comes out. That last part I'm not too familiar with yet so I'm not going to get involved with that just yet (I'm more of a computer guy, not so much Anroid). I don't know what happens after installing a major ROM install if all the apps and settings remain, or if it's like a clean install. The rooting is very easy and only takes a couple of minutes. And I think you can unroot if you want to go back to factory updates. I'm still setting this phone up so I haven't gotten into all the advantages of rooting, but it does seem faster and I'm able to uninstall some of the factory apps. Maybe some others can chime in?
  6. In defense of the Toronto Sun, I didn't really read the entire article. Now that I have, there was no implication on their part that Murray wanted to tank in 2016. The article barely addressed the quote.
  7. He didn't misspeak. He really did mean the Sabres probably won't be a playoff team. That does not imply he's is going to tank again. That does not mean that every team that thinks they won't be a playoff team will purposely start losing from this minute forward. It's another case of twisting what was said to make a ridiculous comment. It's a shame this is what journalism has stooped to in an attempt to create a story. Not sure why I even bothered to contribute............................
  8. So all you people with the Nexus phones are like the guinea pigs for the rest of us. :P
  9. My Note 4 went immediately into the Lollipop update out of the box. It wasn't automatic I had to OK it, but so far so good. That's not to say you won't have any issues. I also rooted it, not sure if that might have negated any issues.
  10. Do you really think he's going to fire Nolan for winning games? Oh yeah, Nolan is checking out the 'kids'. One of them had 3 points last game. Your post sounds like you have all basis covered depending on the results.
  11. So we go all year with many on here hoping we finish dead last, all while Murray does his best to remove any chance of success whatsoever. Here we are with a month left of the season and now people are calling for Nolan's head because he hasn't made the right decisions to make this team better.
  12. Is there anything you do like? Bunnies? Unicorns? Dragons?
  13. Oh boy, here we go.................
  14. Thanks for the input everybody! I decided on the Note 4 mostly because of the display and the UI. I told them I wasn't going to upgrade unless they got me the AIRAVE. That should be here on Monday.
  15. That's what makes it so much fun.
  16. Positive corsi number after 2 periods? Has it been done this year?
  17. Or the 1st or 2nd line where he was the first 30 games of the season where he remained invisible. I can't wait for Varone to score so we can bitch that Nolan didn't make him a 1st liner all year. Because we all know a 2 game stretch is indicative of a players' talent.
  18. I quoted the wrong person, but don't let that stop you.
  19. Or the 1st or 2nd line where he was the first 30 games of the season where he remained invisible. I can't wait for Varone to score so we can bitch that Nolan didn't make him a 1st liner all year. Because we all know a 2 game stretch is indicative of a players' talent.
  20. Probably because he's not a 1st or 2nd liner.
  21. Nolan's in charge of call-ups?
  22. Who said I'm looking down on it? Who said I don't follow it? Why are you putting words in my mouth? I said Nolan didn't like his effort. Whether he gives effort in the AHL is besides the point because the AHL isn't the end game. I never said he wouldn't be in the NHL, I never said he couldn't turn things around. Effort in the AHL doesn't translate into top NHL minutes unless you earn it. I simply said Nolan hasn't liked his effort and I agreed. Sure an AHL heavy club beat the Canucks, guess what, that same Canucks team lost to Glendale the same week. There are exceptions, but an AHL heavy team winning games is hardly the norm.
  23. Probably, because they're playing on a team with talent. Guys like Mitchell and Flynn are 3/4 line guys on most any other team in the league. When you come up with these numbers you really need to take into account the countless other factors that seem to be overlooked. Their numbers will drop, just like Ott's did when he went to the Blues. If Flynn and Mitchell were on the Sabres in 2 years, their numbers would be significantly lower also, even with Nolan as coach. This isn't the AHL, this is the NHL. Just ask Jacob Markstrom, Luke Adam and Mark Mancari.
