I've grown accustomed to both of your childish, unsubstantiated comments. Grow up and maybe someday people will take you seriously. Until then I'm not wasting my time.

So several great players have left under Bowman while the majority of players that he's added are either bottom line players or routine healthy scratches; while greatly overvaluing some players and giving them to coin to match. All while leaving little to work with for the remaining roster. In the meantime the team continues to win on the backs of players that Tallon is responsible for. Versteeg? Vermette? Richards? Really? TWO 2nd round picks for a 40 year old defenseman that hadn't even played for nearly a year and is now watching from the press box? Just because he's accomplished a lot, doesn't mean they're positive accomplishments.

Darling is a nut job. There is a reason he's played for 11 teams in 6 years. They don't think they could win with any goalie or else they wouldn't have dropped $6mil/yr on Crawford. We'll see. I think they're going to have a harder time building up a supporting cast than you think.
-
True, but he is responsible for Crawford, Kane, Toews and Hossa. Hossa, Toews, Kane, Crawford and Sharp will account for $38,000,000 of a $71,000,000 cap next year with Kruger and Saad due for a pay raise. Either they will have no supporting cast or a big contract will have to come off the books. They don't have any 1st round picks this year, they don't have any 2nd round picks next year. Things will be getting tough in Chi-town.

Now that the Blackhawks are going to the Finals, the Timmonen trade turns into TWO 2nd round picks. Bowman traded TWO 2nd round picks for a 40 year old D-man that has been a healthy scratch. Bowman is riding Tallon's coattails, they're going to be in big trouble starting next year. They better win it this year because it's going to be a while before they're back.

Superdraft - where would every NHL player get picked today?

With the 177th pick of the 2015 Superdraft, JJ selects goaltender Craig Anderson. -
Dan Bylsma new Sabres head coach (now official!)

I'm not a believer, but I think we could all use a good laugh. -
Interesting stat. Through last night the combined league save percentage for the playoffs is .921. The last three remaining goaltenders are all below average.
-
The Rangers should be embarrassed with that 3rd period. No sense of urgency, no intensity, nothing. That was a horrible period. The Nash & St. Louis disappearing act was in fine form once again. Both those guys showed up twice in the postseason and they were both the same games when their opponents played their worst game. Came time for a leader to step up and they stepped down.

I love this addition as much as the next guy. But how do those ranks stand up against NHL 'history' when most coaches never had the benefit of the shootout? -

So I should probably draft a goaltender with my last pick....or play 60 minutes with an extra attacker. -
At this point I don't care. For the first time in 3 years we get to watch games where losing isn't the main priority. Playoffs will be great, but progress is something I've forgotten what it was like.

I literally laughed my ass off! I was going to guess around $4mil just because of the insane amount offered to Babcock. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/report-pittsburgh-penguins-christian-ehrhoff-to-test-free-agency/ WHY WHY WHY DO WE STILL HAVE POST MERGING!!!!!!!!!?????????????? -
Superdraft - where would every NHL player get picked today?

I'm surprised Neal fell to #161. The guy's been on a 37goal/82gm pace over the last 4 years. -
Did GMTM take a veiled shot at Ted Nolan during the WGR interview?

With the 161st pick of the 2015 Superdraft, JJ selects James Neal. -
Nope. I don't like his attitude. If he were to come here he would be the center of attention. This team is starting fresh. If Eichel turns out to be what everybody says, this is his team not Crosby's. Sid would be a distraction.
-
I don't consider Crosby for a 3rd rounder.

Same here.

The Lightning might just be the softest team in the league.

St. Louie's last game in the NHL?
-
I think their luck runs out tonight.

True. I figured Murray might want a stopgap while our goaltenders work their way up through the ranks. Anderson is a great athlete, he's not slowing down yet. He's got 2-3 years left in him. I guess it depends if Murray is counting on the goaltenders in the system to be the eventual starters or not. Lehner hasn't put up the best numbers the last couple of years but he's still young. And we saw what Irbe has done with goaltenders.
-
Given Lehner's concussion history (I think he's had two recently) I bet Ottawa would rather get rid of him first. I'd rather have Anderson, I think he is the most underrated goaltender in the league.
