I can't believe a football team can be this bad. I'm shaking my head watching this, not sure if I'm shaking my head because Jackonville is that bad or if it's because we still might not beat them.

Yeah, that's what was weird. I'm also used to that 'we'll be right back' screen. But last night's game NHLGC aired their own commercials. I couldn't fast forward through them, I couldn't physically move the slider because both the slider and the DVR functions were disabled for the duration of the commercials. Maybe it had something to do with the fact I was using a VPN, maybe it was because it was a national broadcast. That's the first time I had seen that, it hasn't happened on Roku. I'm with you, I enjoyed the BFLO commercials. It's at least better than dead air for two minutes. Thank you, I'll give that a shot next time I need to watch the game on my laptop. :thumbsup:

Damn, I really thought Gorges would have fallen to #1 whipping boy status for this season. Gionta bring more to the table than the scoring that everybody is expecting out of him. Ennis is Ennis, he brings certain aspects to the game that most can't. Not every player on the team can be 6'4" 230# and all sit in the paint waiting for a rebound.

I hope so. There were plenty of FA's that were available that I'd rather have in net right now. Granted, they may not have wanted to sign, but three of them played for the Sabres last year. I thought he looked pretty calm and composed for his first game.

I'll say it again, it's not a dig on the goaltenders, it's the situation that Murray put them in.

When you start the season with a goaltender that's out of shape, has concussion issues and still hadn't proven himself as a starter, you don't back him up with a career backup and a 22 year old that's never played before. You back him up with a veteran in the later stages of his career that can still put together some good games. This is another game that could have netted at least a point with average goaltending.

Those first two periods sure looked pretty dominant to me. Stopping breakaways qualifies as 'stealing a game'. None of goaltenders have done it yet. I'm not getting down on Ullmark, it's his first game. It's just the situation they're in.

At what point does the rest of the team get sick of out playing their opponent only to come up short time and time again because we have no goaltending? Granted the scoring hasn't been there but no goaltender has stolen a game yet this year.

This is becoming a common occurrence. Dominating a team (at the very least keeping pace) and giving up late goals. In the last 5 periods, BFLO has outplayed the opponent in 3 of them, and only been outplayed in one of them. They still lost one of those games and now have to play catch up in this one.
