My point is, Mayweather got convicted.... He DID something wrong. Whatever happens to him is his own fault. My earlier post (#2499) was a conditional statement. IF Kane did nothing wrong THEN he shouldn't have had to go through ANY of it. If the woman's claims are false she needs to be held accountable. You can't say the club, the player and the sponsors didn't get off too bad so it's OK. They should't have had to be put in that situation PERIOD. She made claims and his life will never be the same. Case in point, even though it's coming out that the woman's allegations make any claims highly unlikely, Deluca is still siding with her hoping that her life isn't forever changed. In his mind Kane is guilty. Let me repeat, my statement is conditional on Kane having done nothing wrong. He'll forever be labeled a rapist regardless of whether or not he lost endorsements. Blue, if somebody does something wrong that has negative implications, do you think they should be held accountable?

Mayweather was convicted of crimes, you can't compare him. Kobe lost eight figures worth of endorements.

I just can't blame a panel from CNBC when there are ten candidates on stage. When they can't debate like civilized adults, Nobody can control the situation. That's just way too many people to keep it civilized. And I also can't blame them for not staying on topic when the candidates avoided the questions in the first place. It's entertainment television and nothing more. Poor entertainment at that. And they avoided relevant questions.

Besides having high dollar lawyers, I don't see what having lots of money does for a criminal case. My hope in all this is that it doesn't affect the long term health of a professional sports organization, the reputation of one of its elite athletes, and the professional relationship with their sponsors. Because that's an awful lot on the line if he really didn't do anything wrong.

I don't think Goober was aware that O'Reilly had played 26 minutes, at least that's the impression I got from the presser. I don't think 26 minutes will be a regular occurrence.

Ha, I've seen those they're pretty funny. Some people get real creative. Down here the pumpkins are pretty much shot after two nights, with the heat and humidity they're all shriveled up and rotted before you know it.

Anybody with any good pumpkin designs? I usually cut one or two out from a pattern instead of the typical triangle and circle noses and eyes. No such thing as too much left over. You can always send the rest to me. :P

I want to know where they get their stats. I know the Sabres are up there but no place I look have I seen them as high as the claims I've heard.

We really need to just let the term 'haters' die altogether. Can't somebody make critical comments about another person any more with 'hater' being the only retort? I'd just add Eichel to the 'he's still a kid getting everything thrown at him and doing a damn good job of maintaining control while still playing his own game' list. ;)
