Ebron, J Thomas or Clay?

Always make sure to pick your nose before cutting your fingernails.

Drew Stafford would like to officially thank Ryan Miller for helping him to break out of his 11 game scoring drought.

For sure. That would be one hell of a hike to the southern border. I see your point, they weren't granted refugee status. Technically there weren't official refugees. This probably shouldn't have been much of a story.
-
Could be, I'm just telling you what I heard. Technically, if they're fleeing their country to escapre persecution, war or natural disaster they are a refugee. So yeah, if they were coming here for other reasons then they wouldn't be refugees.
-
FOX, OAN and CNN called them refugees so I went by that. Not that any of those are reputable sources.
-
Claude did. Right, refugees wouldn't be coming here with a motive.

OK, we need to decide which thread we're going to discuss all this. http://forums.sabrespace.com/topic/23778-the-politics-of-the-paris-attacks/?p=756948

Supposedly, 5 Syrian refugees were busted with stolen trying to get into the US through Honduras. Who mentioned them coming in through the southern border? http://wtvr.com/2015/11/18/honduras-detains-five-syrians-over-fake-passports/

Interesting perspective, I didn't think about it that deeply at the time. -------- separate post, sighhhhhh..... Damn you post merging----------- Who says we need to get rid of Rob? Why can't they just do it like most other teams and have color guy up top with RJ AND have an on ice reporter? I swear if the Panthers didn't have Moller to interrupt Potvin during the games I'd rip my ears off. Sometimes one more helps to break the monotony.

Ever have a whole bunch of things open up on your computer screen after wiping off your keyboard and wonder which key combinations do all that?

There are some movies that just need to be left alone.

It's becoming a disturbing trend throughout the league. Those first 50 minutes were dull at best. The last Panthers game was one of the worst games I've ever attended. 10 years ago we had lots of scoring because there were a lot of power plays. Today teams have put so much emphasis on not taking stupid penalties it takes away from the game. Not to mention the league is forcing out fighting, so there are fewer enforcers to take the game to a more physical level which means fewer penalties. It's a lose-lose situation. The league can become more physical and create more power plays, or it can go to a fast, wide open game. Right now, it's neither of these and I can't blame people for not spending the money to attend games. That does make sense, I figured it was a stupid rule when they instituted it. Offsides should be like calling a ball or strike in baseball.

I liked Koziol's rant about the lack of scoring in the league not necessarily related to the disallowed goal, but the overall situation. It's a disturbing trend of boring, lifeless hockey.

A team could use this negatively just to stop a scoring opportunity late in a close game. Would never work.

I still stand by what I've been suggesting for years. The linesmen need to have a little box off the ice right on the blue line. Kind of like a line judge so they can focus on the blue line at all times. This way they're off the ice creating less congestion and they would have the ability to enter the ice when needed.

They were certainly caught up on their sleep to celebrate it. :D

I don't know how Devils fans did it for 15 years.

Now that was an Ullmark Moment.

It's going to suck for the Stars when Lindy makes Benn, Sharp, Seguin and Spezza play the 'system' halfway into the season.

I stopped watching that Jets-Preds game after they loaded up the penalty boxes. I should have kept watching. Exactly what happens when you have 12 guys in the penalty box and the penalties all expire at the same time? I assume they'd just wait until play is called.
-
Thanks, I'll check these out later.
-
Yeah, sorry I should have been more clear. They didn't make any rules changes but it seems like they've been going out of their way to prevent any fighting. That was crazy, never seen so many guys in the penalty boxes when nothing really happened.
-
I've watched a few games where a couple of players really wanted to go at it and the officials went out of their way to stay between them. The other night in the TB vs. FL game, Brown and Thornton really wanted to fight and the refs followed them around. I posted those charts, I find it hard to believe fighting would drop off that much because teams changed their strategies during the offseason, I would think that would be more gradual. But, that's just my observation. I'm sure others see it differently. I just think giving 12 players unsportsmanlike penalties when there weren't even any fights is pretty lame.

Sabres are 4-0-1 in their last 5 with Doug Allen at the helm.
