So do many other players, but it seems like everybody focuses on one until somebody else takes over. Based on talent this team is playing worse than last year's team and it certainly isn't Ennis' fault. If he hadn't gotten busted for offsides this discussion wouldn't even exist.

I just don't think it's possible to go without having the need for a whipping boy. This place just needs somebody to bitch about no matter the circumstances. Gionta is happy somebody elee took over the position for now.

Try listening to Ken Daneyko, he sound like he should be a WWF wrestler. And I agree, they all sound the same. Rob Ray isn't an outlier at his position.

PHam would be in his glory! Instead of just post-game interviews he'd have all game to shame the players in which he's gained their trust. :angel:

I do too, especially if I step away from the TV for a minute. The goal call is noticeable. Even if there are others in the house who aren't as glued to the game, when they hear a goal called they come in to watch. With Dunleavy, unless I say something nobody knows. His voice barely climbs when it starts to get exciting. Casual fans in the house will come watch if they hear it getting exciting. (New post) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Barnaby was on XM the other day talking about how happy he was when Dallas beat BFLO in the finals. Wasn't so much that he was happy about something that happened so long ago, it was the fact that he had to bring it up again because he was so proud of the fact.

At least May has improved because this is all new to him. Dunleavy on the other hand hasn't improved at all. Like was mentioned last night in another thread, he's got a pretty good voice but he's just not that good.

Exactly. I'm as frustrated as the next guy that we've had so many games slip through the cracks. I even made a comment earlier about my frustration with Ennis. Then I sit back and remember what this season is supposed to be about. Most of these guys didn't even know each other coming into training camp. Entirely new staff, completely revamped roster, several players that will most likely be the core going forward. The goal is to let these guys gel and get familiar with each other and the coach, play the season out and assess during the off season. No way should there be any trades and/or massive lineup changes at this point. Ennis is working on his 4th coach and has probably had more teammates than a 12 year veteran. The enjoyable part of this season was supposed to be about watching them progress and see how they adapt to each other. No way can I support getting rid of anybody at this point in time. If by some chance Ennis doesn't come through late in the season like he always does, and he doesn't fit Goober's system then work on a move during the off season. His worth won't be any different than it is now. What Ennis does bring to the table eventually more than cancels out what he doesn't.

Good question. I can understand the reasoning behind using Gionta. Goober is leaning on a veteran presence that still has some offensive upside who has had some decent chemistry with O'Reilly lately. While I think this is a year for learning and it might not be a bad idea for the young guys to screw up and learn from it, I think at this point he wants to play those who are less likely to make a mistake in a tight game. Unfortunately all the games this year have been tight. (19 games and only once have the Sabres or their opponent scored over 4 goals)

I agree, he's played very well. I just think he should be a part of the revolving door of Goober's lines instead of him being a mainstay while everybody else gets shuffled.

Thankfully my other league is a non-PPR league so I'm not really regretting benching him.................... yet. With the TD he still only has 8 points based on his 28 yards.

I really think we need to get over Gionta. We get it. I agree he's playing too much but he's certainly far from the biggest concern. We don't need to make him every game's whipping boy.

That's what I was thinking. Only reason I considered it is Tennessee has given up almost 600 yards and 7 TD's to TE's this year.

I'm so sick of these "moral victories". Just stop already, this isn't junior Teeball. It's one thing to lose to a better team because you got outplayed. It's another to outplay ANOTHER team and lose because of stupid mistakes and lazy plays.

He does have a good voice, he just hasn't been improving. In my opinion.
