Emrick is like the boy who cried wolf. When you make a faceoff win sound like an OT Cup winning goal, people tend to look away. Not a big deal if you're parked in front of the TV for the entire game. But, if you have the game playing in the background, Doc's not going to convince you to go to the TV when he makes something sound important. That's the one thing about RJ, the inflection in his voice let's you know how big a play was.

I didn't watch the game because I just don't care about them any more. But how in the hell do you lose by 32 points when getting more yards and getting twice the first downs?

I watch games to get entertained. Those games, I knew they would lose. But Nolan's teams busted their ass. They had no talent but a ton of heart. Much more fun to watch than last year's team.

I've read very little of this thread so call me ignorant if I've missed posts. But, the Nolan teams were fun as hell to watch, just because he made the team more than they were. The last couple of years were painful to watch. This team this year might not make the playoffs........ But man they've got a ton of talent. Include the fact the team has three first round picks......... on top of the talent they have....... they could be a Cup contender in a couple of years.

Hutton needs to be out. 31 years old, never been a starter.............. He had one great year. So did Ryan Miller.

I'm still being cautiously optimistic. Things are looking good right now. But, been through too many losing seasons to be proven otherwise. This team is looking good though. The Bills on the other hand are a train wreck.

John Tavarez made Matt Moulson and Kyle Okposo. Now that they are separated, they are trash. Jeff Skinner made himself. He is capable of 25-30 goal and 70-80 points all by himself. Put him with Eichel or Reinhart and he's capable of 40 goals and 90 points.

As I age, I realize how much I really don't age. At 43, when I was a gym nut last year, I could out run people half my age. When I was 20, I pictured people in their 40's as old. I've taken care of myself and I feel young when I go out, in my mid 40's. I hate when people in their 20's treat me like an old man.
