  1. Guns are not the common denominator in mass shootings, they are not the common denominator is regular firearm deaths. I have provided facts that show all this. Gun ownership is on the rise, record sales year after year, yet the number of deaths have seen no significant rise in the last 20 years. What is a common denominator is that the vast majority of gun related deaths occur in the strictest gun control areas. Call it a talking point, but it is a valid fact that needs to be taken into account. But, it doesn't fit the narrative so it gets swept under the rug by gun control activists. Preventable deaths are a hot topic? Where is the outrage about no federal texting and distracted while driving laws? 23% of accidents involve somebody on their phones, that's 1.3 million accidents. 3,500 people die per year because of texting, approx 400,000 people are injured per year because of texting. -Every single one of those deaths is preventable by outlawing using phones while driving, and, DRIVING IS NOT A RIGHT. -There is ZERO PROOF that any of those gun deaths would have been prevented had there been stricter gun laws. But, it doesn't fit the narrative. Why does gun control take precedent over so many other more preventable deaths? Why can't people accept the fact that living in a free society brings inherent risks?
  2. Maybe a little Debbie.
  3. Despite all of this, guns still aren't the problem.
  4. DOH! Sorry, I should have erased that part.
  5. Neither did I, nobody talks about it. Hopefully it plays out that anybody over 70 hasn't been elected POTUS applies to him.
  6. Trump will be 70 in 5 months.
  7. Potvin: ""Normally they only use those fingers to lick the peanut butter off of their bread, what are they doing pointing fingers?" Denis, what do you think about Danielle Sedin? https://twitter.com/myregularface/status/686790632749314048
  8. Nobody caught the big "brawl" after the OT goal in the Canucks-Panthers game last night? Danielle Sedan skated by the bench after the GWG and was talking smack, then as all the players were exiting the ice Dorsett and Montoya got tangled up and everybody jumped in. No big fights but Spuddy was ready to kill somebody. Then he skipped the post game presser to leave for his mother's funeral. Not surprisingly, Danielle ducked and ran when the going got tough.
  9. I wish teams would stop giving the overhyped QBs more and more chances. Let them fade away peacefully like every other unqualified QB. I'm looking at you Tebow and Manziel. This should be the last time we ever discuss RGIII.
  10. No doubt. Biking around here is pretty limited but a real bike gives a better workout than a stationary. Getting out on a regular bike is great, I envy the people of Minneapolis. There are a couple of treadmills at my gym that incline to 30°if you're not into a run it makes for a good "hike". Set it at 30 and you'll get a damn good workout. I think one thing that concerns me about running, even though I do it all the time, is the long term effects based on all the people I know that developed knee problems as they got older. Did they have problems because they didn't exercise correctly? Did they have problems because they didn't exercise at all? Did they have problems because our knees just aren't made to be put through that much stress?
  11. I have a hard time deciding which way to go. On one hand the ellipticals, bikes, rowing, etc are all easier on the joints. On the other hand, running is a better workout all around; it works out more muscle groups and you can change your stride to workout different parts of your legs/hips. If you use gym equipment all the other options are pretty limited in range and movement. Back when I started running I developed terrible shin splints. So I spent some time working out my lower legs now I have zero pains from running.

    Powerball

On mine I have the option for $5 to get the Jackpot Combo. "Quick picks for next draw 1 Powerball, 1 Mega Millions, 1 Florida Lotto with XTRA"..................... I have no idea what that means, I only get the urge to play the lotto like once a year. Looks to me like for $5 I can enter those other lotteries as well with the same numbers? I didn't think those all used the same number range and/or the same number of balls picked. I'm a rookie.
  13. I've got no problems with a talk show host calling out the callers because for the most part they usually call in with nothing substantial. What aggravates me is that he's often times guilty of the same thing. With that said, I rarely listen to any of the call-in shows any more. Every once in a while I'll turn it on if I need a good laugh. I noticed how WGR slowly phased out the call-in portion of the Sabres post game.
  14. I used to run in the beach, no better way to build killer calves and shins.
  15. Well, we don't live in a fantasy world. There are inherent risks to living in a free society. Again, guns are not THE common denominator to the problems you want solved. I'll accept the almost non-existent risk of dying in a mass shooting in order to remain "free". Although we become less free year after year. Any chance of scaring them off, or hitting just one of them is certainly better that sitting back and watching your daughter get raped by five men. Tell me DeLuca, what is your solution? Let's keep it realistic and try to provide facts.
  16. How many games should Hendricks get? There wasn't a single penalty called on the play. Spuddy doesn't look like the kind of guy you want to piss off on a bad day. https://www.dropbox.com/s/52juzz51162itfs/2016-01-11%2000.21.59.mp4?dl=0
  17. There's not playing defense, and then there's this.............
  18. If only he had a gun. http://news.yahoo.com/woman-raped-five-men-york-city-park-police-163351655.html?nf=1
  19. 7-13-5 with him 9-3-5 without him Ouch
  20. If either of those proposals hold any truth, I can't see anybody investing that much into both of those guys. I agree with you, if they signed one I'd take Buff. Even though he comes in to camp overweight all the time I think he has the physique to be a productive players well into his mid 30's. He brings more to the table than Ladd.
  21. What's the deal with Ladd and Buff? Are they staying? Last I heard they both proposed insane contracts.
  22. What is the population of the US? Nevermind, until you realize that guns are a common denominator but not THE common denominator, nothing will ever change.
  23. Koziol brought it up during the post game for a minute and moved on to something else. That's all I've got.
  24. How much has gun violence increased in the last 20 years?
