  1. Actually it was -113 in 2014-15............... not sure what Rob Vollman is smoking.
  2. What time of year does it start getting green around there?
  3. Fair enough, that makes more sense. I see now where you're coming from in terms of identifying ones self within a group by choice; we're not born into a religion. While I still think that any private business owner should be free of government control, there shouldn't be any difference between which groups can and can't be discriminated against. If gays, whites, blacks, etc.......... can't discriminate then neither should a Christian. It might be their freedom OF religion, but it's also my freedom FROM religion. Any private business should be able to discriminate against any group they please, or none at all. Trying to define which group is more important nowadays is what gets us into trouble. Discrimination is such a negative word, it doesn't need to be.
  4. 1) I believe I already mentioned that public establishments cannot discriminate. That also applies to a B&N because B&N is a publicly traded corporation responsible to many shareholders. 2) By saying that a business can refuse to accept the patronage of a certain group if they do not belong to that particular group is acceptable is just like saying that I can choose not to serve blacks at my bar because my establishment only chooses to identify with whites. 3) Saying that a gay bar can refuse heterosexuals because they specifically serve gays is no different than a white bar refusing to serve blacks because they only serve whites. (Which I am totally fine with on all accounts. If you don't want to let me into your bar because I'm not gay, fine. If you don't want to let me into your restaurant because your establishment is meant for families with children, fine. If you want to cater to me as an adult looking for an adult establishment free of any children, I'm fine with that also). 4) Using your logic it's perfectly fine to discriminate as long as it's been predefined. 5) Gays looking to be accepted in all establishments and then refusing to accept heterosexuals into theirs is textbook hypocrisy. 6) You know damn well if B&N refused to serve one black person that the ###### would hit the fan. So I should leave it up to the government to tell me how to live my life while they try to define society? The government can't tie their own shoes, why should I let them define society and tell me what to do?
  5. I agree that any public establishment should not be allowed to deny service. But why should I be forced to do something with my business that I don't choose to do? Businesses won't suffer? Reverse this situation, take businesses that don't agree with this decision and look at what they're doing, simply because of the backlash. Multi billion dollar corporations are pulling out of states that are doing this. You don't think there would be any kind of backlash if a business does it? If there wasn't any kind of backlash, none of this would be happening in the first place.
  6. Do you know how many restaurants would go under as soon as word got out that they weren't serving blacks? This isn't 1960.
  7. Religious fanatics have it wrong by centering the focus on just them. The PC crowd has it wrong by forcing somebody to do what they don't want to do. Any private business should be allowed to deny device to whoever they please regardless of race, religion or sexual orientation. They're not obligated to serve you and you're not obligated to patronize their business. It's a shame both groups only care about themselves, too bad they can't put that kind of effort into putting freedom back in the hands of everybody.
  8. I agree. There will be no less than 20 teams with 82 points. There could possibly be 23 teams with 82 points. The 23-29 point improvement over last year is impressive, however. Not to mention the 31 ROW's compared to last year's 15.
  9. That's how all interviews should be conducted!
  10. Just wait until they both make it. :( If they really wanted to punish him they should force him to play more. Another good stat. Last year the Sabres had 15 ROW's.............. this year they've got 31.
  11. Glad somebody recognized the obvious.
  12. Thanks WildCard................. now I can't get that damn scene from Spaceballs out of my head!
  13. In all seriousness, Tampa made it to the Cup finals last year without Stamkos.
  14. Nice, and it's not even summer yet!
  15. Fleury out indefinitely with a concussion, his second of the season. I shake my head every year at teams that blow big $$ on goaltenders with unknowns backing them up. Anaheim has been going with split duty, many don't. How is Dallas gonna make out with Crawford? Rinne in Nashville? How did Montreal make out after setting a league record with consecutive regulation wins? Do Blackhawks fans really think there's another Cinderella story in Darling? Don't count on it. As much as Fleury sucks most years in the playoffs, they don't have a Vokoun type backup to do any better. Matt Murray? Who?
  16. How many games did Raffi get for being a repeat offender?
  17. At least Kane has an excuse for getting hurt, he actually throws hits, Myers doesn't. Kane averages 4X as many hits/game than Myers.
  18. I fail to see where anybody in that trade was valued too highly. But everybody has different opinions.
